‘Has Hell frozen over?’ Hillary reluctantly agrees to town hall – on Fox

After initially declining, Hillary Clinton has apparently shifted course and agreed to appear in a Fox News town hall on Monday.

Sen. Bernie Sanders confirmed he would participate in the Democratic town hall to be held in Detroit when it was announced Thursday, but Clinton declined at first due to scheduling conflicts. On Friday, Fox announced the former secretary of state would join her Democratic rival after all.

The town hall, moderated by “Special Report” anchor Bret Baier, will mark Clinton’s first appearance on the network since 2014. Clinton and Sanders will take questions from an audience at the Gem Theater in Detroit, Michigan, just one day before the state’s primary.

Social media’s reaction was mixed, as some saw the move as quite calculated and others speculated that Clinton did not want to appear afraid.
