Chelsea Clinton, speaking on behalf of her mother, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, told a small gathering in Duluth, Minnesota, Monday that Republicans are racist, sexist and homophobic.
Only about 75 supporters showed up to hear her speak for the Democratic presidential front-runner, according to local ABC affiliate WDIO.
“While it’s important to have a president who knows when to stand her ground and give no purchase to the racist, homophobic, sexist rhetoric and policy ideas that are coming out of the Republican side, it’s also important to have a president who knows how to find common ground,” she said.
