Angry veteran drops f-bomb during live coverage; MSNBC apologizes for ‘bit of French’

During live coverage from an Iowa caucus center Monday, MSNBC cameras and microphones caught a veteran dropping the f-bomb amidst a heated debate.

A group of supporters of candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders were discussing foreign policy and the treatment of the military when a Sanders fan insisted that “Bernie is for the VA, he cares about veterans’ rights.” Needing clarification, another veteran passionately asked what exactly that meant.

“I am a vet, my mom’s a vet, how is he going to fix it?” she said. “The VA is more screwed up than it has been in a while. The fact that I haven’t gotten benefits in three months because the VA is so f****d up makes me very concerned.”

Back in the MSNBC studio, host Brian Williams apologized “for a bit of French that snuck into our English language translation there.”

“When you listen in on caucuses, you take the good with the bad,” said Williams.
