Republican presidential contender Marco Rubio has dismissed the “theatrics” between rivals Ted Cruz and Donald Trump as little more than an “entertaining sideshow,” but there could be more truth to that assessment than he realizes.
In what proved to be an amusing exchange, Trump and Cruz jostled with each other this week over the Republican front-runner’s decision to skip Thursday’s Fox News debate.
Cruz poked fun at the decision by announcing the sale of hats that mimic Trump’s “Make America Great Again” tag line. The new hats read: “Make Trump Debate Again.”

Looking to maximize any possible advantage that he can, Cruz also challenged “Ducking Donald” to debate him, “mano a mano.”
“If Donald is afraid of Megyn Kelly, I would like to invite him on your show to participate in a one-on-one debate, between me and Donald, mano a mano,” Cruz said during a radio interview with Mark Levin, and repeated the challenge on social media:

But Trump may have won the Internet for the day with his response. Seizing on questions about Cruz’s eligibility to run for president, Trump asked a simple question … “Can we do it in Canada?”
Entertaining? Indeed.
Even though I beat him in the first six debates, especially the last one, Ted Cruz wants to debate me again. Can we do it in Canada?
