Speaking at a rally in Ohio on Monday, President Donald Trump addressed the release of the House Intelligence Committee FISA memo, saying Democrats were “caught in the act.”
“But did we catch them in the act, or what?” Trump said to the crowd gathered at a manufacturing plant in the suburbs of Cincinnati.
“They were very embarrassed. They never thought they were going to get caught, we caught them,” he added. “We caught them, so much fun. Like the great sleuth.”
The president also ripped Democrats for their reaction to his State of the Union speech, going so far as to use the term “treasonous,” albeit in a joking manner.
“They were like… death,” he said. “And un-American. Un-American.
“Somebody said ‘treasonous.’ I mean, yeah, I guess, why not?” Trump said. “Can we call that treason? Why not? I mean [Democrats] certainly didn’t seem to love our country very much.”

A disposition that has Trump looking forward to the 2018 mid-term election and his own reelection in 2020.
He told the room House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is “our secret weapon.”
“Nancy Pelosi, what she’s doing to this country,” he said. “And she’s gone so far left and [Senate Minority Leader Chuck] Schumer has gone so far left.”
“Oh, I look forward to running against them,” he continued. “We’ve got to do well in ’18 and I know we’re going to do well in ’20, but I think we’re going to do well in ’18.”
