Former President Obama’s terrorist pal Bill Ayers mentioned in JFK assassination files

Newly released files on the JFK assassination reveal that former President Barack Obama’s friend, domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, was under federal watch.

With the Trump administration ordering the release of thousands of documents pertaining to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, one startling find was that the CIA and FBI had monitored Ayers, who was a member of leftist groups and a domestic terrorist organization, CBS News reported.

In a 1969 document from the FBI director to the President, Vice President, Secretary of State, Secret Service, CIA, Air Force, Army, and the Attorney General, William “Bill” Ayers is described as a member of the Students for a Democratic Society. Ayers would soon become the leader of the leftist terror group the Weather Underground, which carried out bombings across the United States, according t CBS.

According to the document:

WILLIAM AYERS, A STUDENTS FOR A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY (SDS) LEADER, SPOKE AT AMERICAN UNIVERSITY, WASHINGTON D.C., ON SEPTEMBER TWENTY FOUR LAST. AYERS WAS PRECEDED BY A MEMBER OF THE SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE (SCLC) WHO STATED THAT NONVIOLENCE WAS THE MEANS TO OVERCOME ILLS IN THE UNITED STATES AND WHO DERIDED SDS FOR ITS APPROACH TO THE PROBLEM. AYERS STATE THAT THE UNITED STATES “IMPERIALST” ARMY CANNOT WIN AGAINST THE “PEOPLE’S ARMY” AND THAT “IMPERIALISM” WILL BE DESTROYED AND THAT ALL PEOPLKE SHOULD PARTICAIPATE IN ITS DESTRUCTION. HE SAID THAT SDS WILL EVENTUALLY BE ENGAGED IN ARMED CONFLICT AGAINST THE UNITED STATES. HIS SPEECH ENDED ABRUPTLY DUE TO HECKLING AND RIDICULE FROM THE AUDIENCE, INCLUDING THE SCLC SPEAKER.

Obama’s relationship with Ayers was at the center of a controversy during the 2008 presidential election campaign. After the connection between the two was brought up, then Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin accused Obama of “palling around with terrorists.”

Obama’s 1995 campaign for the Illinois State Senate was reportedly launched in Ayers’ home where guest Alice Palmer, outgoing state senator, named the future president as her successor. The startling fact remains that Obama officially launched his political career in the home of Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn, people who coordinated the bombings of the United States Capitol, the Pentagon, police stations and banks.

And though the former president denied his relationship with Ayers was anything but a passing friendship, Obama led the Ayers-founded Chicago Annenberg Challenge between 1995 and 1999. He also served on the board until 2001.

CNN reported on the relationship in 2008.

Ayers talked about his relationship with Obama at a 2103 event University of Chicago’s International House and in his book, “Public Enemy: Confessions of an American Dissident.”

“Bernadine and I had hosted the initial fundraiser for Obama and uncharacteristically donated a little money to his campaign,” Ayers said. “We lived a few blocks apart and sat on a couple nonprofit boards together. So what? Who could have predicted it would blow up like this?”
