Journalists should have covered the actual meeting and not have been distracted by insignificant matters.
During an appearance on Fox Business Network’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight” Tuesday, Presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway addressed the so-called “CouchGate” brouhaha that sent liberals into a tizzy.

“I was very busy today and didn’t follow a lot of it, but I know there are a couple of reports at least showing what happened,” she told the FBN host. “And what happened is we had the largest gathering of men and women to date in the oval office for a picture.”
Then she explained what led to her kneeling on the couch.
“I was being asked to take a picture in a crowded room with the press behind us. I was asked to take a certain angle and was doing exactly that. I certainly meant no disrespect, I didn’t mean to have my feet on the couch.”
Hobbs described the outrage that resulted from it a “deplorable hypocrisy” when compared to numbers photos of former President Obama posing with his feet on the furniture.
“It is venomous, it is vicious, it bothers my children to be frank with you,” Conway agreed, but adding that she nonetheless considers herself “not a victim at all.”
Then she revealed how the controversy began.
“This came from a journalist who is not happy that Donald Trump is the President but I just want people to focus on the great work of the HBCU [historically black colleges and universities] presidents and how honored we were to have them here,” Conway said.
Her supporters told Conway to hang tough.
