‘No Spin Zone’ slams Dems’ claim Trump isn’t ‘legitimate’ … with an assist from Anderson Cooper

Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” took a hard look at the refusal by Democrats to accept Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in November and their apparent strategy to undermine the president-elect.

“I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president,” Rep. John Lewis, the Democratic civil rights icon from Georgia, told NBC’s “Meet the Press” in an interview set to air on Sunday — Lewis claimed Trump was elected as a result of “a conspiracy” involving Russia.

Host Eric Bolling, filling in for Bill O’Reilly, played a clip of Clinton’s former campaign spokesman Brian Fallon also commenting on “the legitimacy of his win.”

The stance taken by Democrats brings to mind the national outcry from the party and their media allies when talk radio’s Rush Limbaugh said he wanted to see then-newly elected President Barack Obama “fail” in the implementation of his far-left agenda.

Of all people, CNN’s Anderson Cooper was quick to note the hypocrisy.

Discussing the egregious remark by Lewis, Cooper wondered aloud how Democrats would have reacted if a Republican lawmaker said the same about Clinton, had she won.

“I get he doesn’t like Donald Trump,” he said. “I get he doesn’t accept the results of the election, but is this helpful in any way?

“If a Republican had said this about President-elect Hillary Clinton, Democrats would be up in arms.”
