Whoopi, harpies on ‘The View’ contort themselves to justify why Jamaal Bowman pulled fire alarm

The leftists of “The View” came unglued over Squad member Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) getting caught on video pulling a fire alarm to allegedly delay a House vote on a government shutdown.

The co-hosts of “The View” cooked up wild conspiracy theories to justify the unprofessional move by Bowman. They posited that he needed more time to read the bill and claimed that he was just trying to get to the House floor on time.

“So, Democratic House member allegedly pulled a fire alarm,” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin stated.

“He claims that it was because he was trying to get to the House floor. The pictures seem to suggest otherwise. I think it was because the CR (continuing resolution) came out and he wanted more time to read the bill. But, rather again than Congress passing a bill that would allow for him to have more time to read it, he literally pulled the fire alarm,” she added.

“It goes to them not having the time,” Whoopi Goldberg said giving absurd cover for Bowman. “It’s quite possible that he was trying to get there and the door… if you’re not looking down because it’s a door that’s normally open, you just go and you press a button.”

Co-host Ana Navarro contended that Bowman perpetrated an “infantile stunt,” but said it was ridiculous for MAGA Republicans to compare his actions to Jan. 6.

That was in reference to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) who cited “how other people were treated when they come in and wanted to change the course of what was happening in the building.”

He asserted that the Ethics Committee should take the pulled fire alarm “seriously,” according to NBC News.

“This should not go without punishment,” McCarthy declared. “I’m going to have a discussion with the Democratic leader about it. But this should not go without punishment. This is an embarrassment.”

“I don’t want to call it a stunt yet,” Sunny Hostin chimed in. “There’s going to be an investigation. I know, Jamaal. And so, again, I’m a little biased, but the doors that are normally open so that he could get to the chambers to read were somehow miraculously closed. How did that happen? And so, yes, sometimes you’re freaking out and you’re in an elevator and you’re pressing all the buttons.”

Bowman ridiculously claimed when it happened that it was an accident despite what the footage appears to show.

“Today, as I was rushing to make a vote, I came to a door that is usually open for votes but today would not open. I am embarrassed to admit that I activated the fire alarm, mistakenly thinking it would open the door. I regret this and sincerely apologize for any confusion this caused,” he said.

“But I want to be very clear, this was not me, in any way, trying to delay any vote. It was the exact opposite — I was trying urgently to get to a vote, which I ultimately did, and joined my colleagues in a bipartisan effort to keep our government open,” Bowman claimed.

Former President Trump wasn’t buying it all and called for him to be “prosecuted and imprisoned” for allegedly trying to delay the House vote.

“Will Congressman Jamal Bowman be prosecuted and imprisoned for very dangerously pulling and setting off the main fire alarm system in order to stop a Congressional vote that was going on in D.C. His egregious act is covered on tape, a horrible display of nerve and criminality. It was a very dangerous ‘Obstruction of an Official Proceeding,’ the same as used against our J-6 prisoners. Actually, his act may have been worse. HE MUST SUFFER THEIR SAME FATE. WHEN WILL HIS TRIAL BEGIN???” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
