RFK joins Rumble after being censored on YouTube, others jumping ship too

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has announced he is leaving YouTube for Rumble after the platform censored an interview with media commentator Jordan Peterson, removing a one-hour and thirty-five-minute wide-ranging video discussion that also covered COVID vaccinations.

A number of others have jumped ship for Rumble as well after being censored by the leftist media platform.

RFK Jr. announced the move to the free speech video-sharing platform via a press release. It is the first time that a Democratic presidential candidate has ditched YouTube for Rumble. He joins a growing number of prominent figures in the 2024 presidential race who have done so, including Republican candidates such as Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, and Vivek Ramaswamy.

Kennedy tweeted, “What do you think … Should social media platforms censor presidential candidates? My conversation with @JordanBPeterson was deleted by @YouTube. Luckily you can watch it here on @Twitter (thank you @elonmusk). #Kennedy24.”

YouTube announced on Monday that it removed the video because of vaccine misinformation. To many, the heavy-handed move smacks of censorship and seems capricious in nature.

A YouTube spokesperson told CNN that the social media platform removed the video from Peterson’s channel because it does not allow “content that alleges that vaccines cause chronic side effects, outside of rare side effects that are recognized by health authorities.”

Rumble’s Chairman and CEO, Chris Pavlovski, is elated to have Kennedy onboard, “We are thrilled to welcome Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Rumble. Rumble is the only company that held the line for free speech over the past few years, and we’re excited to allow all US presidential candidates to share their message directly with the people.”

Leftists are also trying to get Kennedy censored on Spotify for an interview with mega-podcaster Joe Rogan that discussed the jab. So far that effort has been futile.

Kennedy, no doubt, is making the move so he won’t be silenced on any issue including COVID vaccinations. He wants to get his thoughts out to as many Americans as possible before the presidential election.

He said as much in his announcement, contending that he plans to use the platform to fight against the powers that be, “When I announced for the presidency, I said that if you give me a piece of ground from which to fight, I will take back this country from these corporate powers that seek to divide us. Well, this is a piece of that ground – and I’m here now and I plan to use it.”

Kennedy’s move to Rumble indicates a shift in how political candidates intend to conduct their campaigns. Free speech has become an issue since most of the major social media platforms lean way to the left and censor at will anything they don’t approve of. That is until Elon Musk came along and bought Twitter. Add Rumble into the mix and shutting up opposing points of view becomes impossible. It will definitely help shape the 2024 presidential race and likely not in the left’s favor.

Kennedy had more to say on YouTube’s attempt to silence him, “Maybe you can help me figure out what ‘misinformation’ was in this interview. #letRFKspeak.”

He went on to tweet, “Do you really need Big Tech censors to decide what you should hear? Or would you prefer to be treated as a competent adult who can listen to various viewpoints and come to his or her own conclusions? #letRFKspeak.”

He thrashed YouTube for the removal of the video, “It may be that @YouTube has broken no laws in this blatant interference in the electoral process. In that case, change will come only through public pressure. That’s democracy in action!”

“If you want Youtube to be a modern-day public square rather than a propaganda outlet, then make a video and post it to @YouTube telling them what you think. #letRFKspeak,” Kennedy urged.

The censorship by YouTube will likely backfire on the social media platform as more and more prominent voices jump ship for Rumble. Voters consider the silencing of opinion to be anti-American and those voices will be heard.
