Loomer launches Twitter attack on ‘Jill DeSantis’: ‘Pretending to be the Kennedys’

For those who follow politics, it’s understandable that Laura Loomer is not a serious player. An avid Trump supporter who lost not one, but two congressional bids, she makes a lot of noise supporting the former president and attacking anyone who may stand in the way of a second White House term.

Loomer was among the beneficiaries who had their Twitter accounts reinstated after Elon Musk took the helm at the social media platform and she had been making up for lost time ever since — in her own words, she remains banned on most other major social media platforms. The media had little use for Loomer, other than to mock her until she took up the cause of attacking Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and they suddenly perked up.

And attack DeSantis she does. Loomer seems to spend her days on Twitter and much of that time is targeting the Republican governor, whom she blames for not coming to her rescue back when she was de-platformed – an experience she has claimed “ruined” her life.

Going after a popular politician who is in every sense of the word a threat to the candidate you back is one thing, but Loomer takes it further than that with vile personal attacks — this being her calling card.

For whatever reason, Loomer finds it politically expedient to attack Gov. DeSantis’ wife, Casey DeSantis. On Tuesday, she attacked Florida’s first lady for wearing formal attire at the governor’s State of the State address, even though it’s 86 degrees.

“Ron & Jill are stuck in Fantasyland at Disney World pretending to be the Kennedys,” Loomer spewed.

Loomer refers to Casey DeSantis as Jill, having recently made the inane claim that by going by her legal middle name, Mrs. DeSantis was using a fake name — Jill is her first name.

A lovely woman by any measure, Mrs. DeSantis is the doting mother of three young children and recently battled breast cancer, a fight that took a toll on the family and even resulted in media attacks on the governor for being missing in action as he sat by her side during chemotherapy treatments. In her first public remarks after that battle, Casey said her husband was “by my side every step of the way. He has picked me up literally and figuratively throughout this process.”

And THIS is to whom Loomer directs her ire. As insufferable as she is relentless, Loomer was not content with one volley fired at Mrs. DeSantis on Tuesday:

As for the pink dress, Gov. DeSantis announced during his speech Tuesday that his wife is cancer free, saying she’s “doing better than ever.”
