Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), who is widely seen as a Democratic kingmaker, is asserting that President Joe Biden will run for a second term in 2024 and will have his full support while he warned off any potential primary challengers against the sitting president.

“I’m all-in for President Biden,” Clyburn told CBS host Robert Costa during an interview. “I think he’s demonstrated, in these two years … that he is deserving of reelection. And I do believe he will be reelected irrespective of who the Republicans, they put up.”
Clyburn, 82, is the assistant Democratic leader in the House and an influential powerbroker. His original endorsement of Biden for his first run at the presidency in 2020 is said to have delivered South Carolina for the president in the primaries after he was defeated in both Iowa and New Hampshire.
He claims to have spoken with Biden, urging him to run for reelection by campaigning against the new Republican majority in the House.
“I’ve told him on many occasions that I believe that he ought to announce for reelection and get the playbook laid down by Harry Truman back in 1948 and use that as their mantra upon which to run for reelection,” Clyburn recounted.
Clyburn is the a hole who came out and endorsed Biden when his candidacy was on life support. Biden and his supporters have to say he is going to run again. They don’t want him to be looked upon as a lame duck this early on

Democratic President Harry Truman was in office in 1948 when Republicans controlled Congress and blocked many of his Fair Deal bills. He called it a “do-nothing Congress.” Truman went on to aggressively campaign against GOP majorities and proceeded to win reelection in a historic upset against Republican nominee Thomas Dewey. Clyburn wants Biden to use the same strategy.
At age 80, Biden is the oldest sitting president on record. He has not officially announced that he will run for reelection but it is expected he will do so despite a burgeoning scandal where he mishandled classified material.
Former President Trump has already announced he will be running in the Republican primary. The Hill reported that Biden will launch his campaign at some point in February, near the timing of his State of the Union address.
Of course they want Biden. He is owned by the leftist progressives.

In addition to his age, Biden’s gaffes, missteps, health, and evident lack of mental acuity are all going to be stumbling blocks as he seeks reelection. He is also an incredibly unpopular president with an approval rating in the low 40s according to most polls, and he is being investigated by Republicans in connection to multiple scandals.
Clyburn praised Biden for “passing more progressive legislation than any president since Lyndon Baines Johnson.” Conservative Americans don’t see that as a selling point but socialist progressives do.
When asked during the CBS interview if Biden will face primary challengers, Clyburn said, “I don’t think he will, and I don’t think he should.”
“The history is very clear on what happens when you challenge a sitting president like this,” the congressman pointed out. He noted the fact that former Sen. Ted Kennedy’s primary challenge to President Jimmy Carter in 1980 was unsuccessful and is widely thought to have hurt Carter in the general election against former President Ronald Reagan.
Clyburn on a primary challenger to Biden: “ The history is very clear on what happens when you challenge a sitting president.” Clyburn cited Ted Kennedy vs Jimmy Carter in ‘80. “especially one that's had the kind of successes that this president has had…it'll just be personal.” https://t.co/OLQ3FQWAy3

Trump is set to hold his first event for his 2024 presidential campaign in South Carolina on Saturday, Jan. 28, according to Fox News. Republican Gov. Henry McMaster and Sen. Lindsey Graham will join him as the former president announces the state’s leadership team at the state Capitol building in Columbia.
