New York Gov. Kathy Hochul made her disgusting views concerning 5.4 million Republicans in her state abundantly clear, telling them to leave the state and that “You are not New Yorkers.”
“We are fighting for democracy. We’re fighting to bring government back to the people and out of the hands of dictators,” Hochul declared at a Monday evening rally in Kingston alongside Democratic congressional candidate Pat Ryan, where she slammed his Republican opponent, Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, Rep. Lee Zeldin, and former President Trump.
“We’re here to say that era of Trump and Zeldin and Molinaro – just jump on a bus and head down to Florida where you belong. OK? Get out of town. Because you don’t represent our values,” added Hochul.
“You’re not New Yorkers, because we come from a long line of people who fought for women’s rights that happened here first,” she charged.
@PatRyanUC, this is what we are doing now? Agree with her or you’re not a New Yorker? Sounds just like Cuomo. We cannot wait until the era of State Government arrogance, corruption & disdain ends. https://t.co/pXepqezKQq

Should Republicans flee New York, it would bankrupt the state since it relies so heavily on personal income taxes. With $14 billion in projected budget gaps over the next five years, the state cannot afford to lose any residents even if they are conservative.
Due to high taxation, crime, and insane mandated policies, 1.5 million residents have exited the state in the last ten years. It’s a trend that shows no slowing in New York and yet, the governor is willing to boot 5.4 billion residents over petty political partisanship. During the pandemic alone, 350,000 New Yorkers reportedly moved out of the state in the year leading up to July 1, 2021, according to the New York Post.
Hochul let her leftist mask slip when she made her biting commentary. Her words will almost certainly cause New Yorkers to leave even faster and take their businesses and money with them.
Instead of enticing Americans and businesses to the state, Hochul has overseen a record $220 billion budget that indicates she has no intention of slowing spending and will burden taxpayers even more to fund progressive projects.
Maybe that’s why people are leaving New York. I guess you’ll have to raise taxes since your tax base is dwindling.

So if all the republicans leave the state who will be working to pay the bills for all the entitlement filled liberals that feel the government has to take care of them.

New York City denizens are being crushed by the highest combined state and local personal income tax rate in the country. Not only can’t individuals bear that suffocating amount of taxation, businesses can’t either. It’s a big reason many have relocated to states such as Florida and Texas. As businesses ditch New York, they take good jobs with them causing the situation to deteriorate even further in a vicious downward spiral that liberals have created for New Yorkers.
Employment has reportedly not returned to pre-pandemic levels in the state. The remote work so heavily promoted by Democrats has resulted in an unintended consequence – many employees can work from anywhere and often they choose to no longer reside in New York. If that was the intent with the premise that conservatives would be the ones to leave, Democrats are doomed to disappointment because people of every political persuasion are hoofing it out of the state as fast as they can to get away from taxes.
She’s disgusting.

New York is no longer a free state .

Polls indicate that high taxation is the primary reason that people leave New York. Democrats, Republicans, liberals, moderates, conservatives, all income and age groups, and almost all education levels are leaving over it. Almost 45,000 residents ran to Florida between 2019 and 2020 alone.
Instead of being politically divisive, which is dangerous in itself and could lead to violence, Hochul should be addressing all citizens of New York and bring them together to recover from the pandemic and a recession that is looking more and more like a depression.
Considering the heated rhetoric and the damage that Hochul has done, it’s stunning to think she has only been in office for one year.
