JD Vance received firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s enthusiastic endorsement on Tuesday in Ohio’s crowded 2022 GOP Senate primary fight, emphasizing that “JD is 100% pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment and pro-Trump” which massively triggered leftists.

“Honored to have Marjorie’s endorsement. We’re going to win this thing and take the country back from the scumbags,” Vance tweeted causing the term “scumbags” to trend on social media.

“I am so honored to have Marjorie’s support,” Vance said according to The Hill. “I’ve gotten to know her over the last year, and she’s precisely the type of leader we need in our party: genuine, honest, and courageous. Unfortunately, there are too few like her, and so long as that’s the case, Republicans may win an election from time to time, but we’ll never do the difficult work of truly taking our country back from the leftwing mob and the woke corporations.”

Greene told Fox News Digital that “JD Vance is the conservative warrior that the entire America First movement needs fighting for us in the U.S. Senate, and that’s why I’m proud to endorse him.”

“If you agree with me that Washington desperately needs more America First fighters in the mold of President Trump, then it’s vital to support JD’s campaign in Ohio,” she asserted.

“Our country is being taken over by an unholy alliance of leftwing radicals and corporate oligarchs who seek to undermine our God-given rights, destroy traditional American values and force us all to live under their woke authoritarianism,” Greene also said in her statement. “It’s time to start electing strong conservatives like JD, who put People over Politicians and understand exactly what we’re up against, and don’t just talk a good game on cable news, but who actually have the courage to fight back against the radical left to save America and stop Communism.”

Vance is a conservative venture capitalist and a bestselling author, who wrote, “Hillbilly Elegy,” which became a New York Times bestseller and was made into a Netflix film. He is a contender for former President Trump’s endorsement along with a number of other Republicans who are running for the Senate in Ohio. Trump is seen as a kingmaker in the party and it is strongly believed he will run again for the presidency in 2024.

Vance grew up in Middletown, Ohio, and now lives in Cincinnati. Critics bring up his opposition to Trump in the 2016 presidential push before he supported the former president’s 2020 reelection bid. He was branded a “Never-Trumper” by some Republicans. Club for Growth, which is backing a rival candidate in the primary contest, accused Vance of “tearing down President Trump and mocking Trump voters.” But Vance says he’s a strong supporter of Trump these days and is likely to get his endorsement with Greene already giving hers.

A source told Fox News that Greene “is beloved by the conservative grassroots across the country, but that her biggest fan might just reside in Mar-a-Lago.”

She will be going to Ohio on Sunday to join Vance on the campaign trail in Loveland.

Other big Republican names have endorsed Vance as well, including Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Rep. Jim Banks of Indiana, who is the chair of the Republican Study Committee. He is also supported by some top Trump allies, including Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and PayPal co-founder and billionaire venture capitalist Peter Thiel. Thiel, who is Vance’s former boss, contributed $10 million of his own money to a super PAC supporting Vance’s Senate campaign last year. A number of former Trump White House and campaign aides and advisers are also working on Vance’s campaign.

There are 11 GOP candidates running for the Senate seat in Ohio which opened up after Republican Sen. Rob Portman announced he was retiring. Others running in the race include former Ohio treasurer and two-time Senate candidate Josh Mandel; former Ohio GOP Chair Jane Timken; Cleveland businessman and luxury auto dealership giant Bernie Moreno; 2018 Ohio Republican Senate candidate Mike Gibbons, a Cleveland entrepreneur, real estate developer, and investment banker; and Matt Dolan, a longtime state lawmaker whose family owns Major League Baseball’s Cleveland Guardians.

The primary will be held in May and the winner will run against longtime Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan of northeastern Ohio. Ryan is considered the favorite for the Democratic nomination in a very small primary field that includes progressive Morgan Harper, who is a former Consumer Financial Protection Bureau senior adviser and a 2020 congressional candidate.
