Former White House senior counselor Kellyanne Conway triggered unhinged leftists over a claim she made Monday evening while on Fox News concerning the supply chain during former President Trump’s tenure in office.

“I worked in that White House for four years,” Conway told host Sean Hannity, referring to her time in the Trump administration. “We never even heard of a such of a thing. There was no supply chain crisis. There was no inflation.”

“At this point in Trump’s presidency, Sarah Huckabee and I were working on a jobs cut — a tax cut and jobs act, working on deregulation, working on energy independence, President Trump was figuring out a way to stimulate the economy and lift up the job creators, job holders, and job seekers. Now they are all in dire straits,” she added.

Conway also posited that the left needs to listen to “outside advisors who don’t have skin in the game” like outside political consultant James Carville.

“But it’s a battle between the progressives, so-called progressives who voted against Biden’s big package. I think you reverse course when you admit mistakes and they are still in the ‘but Trump’ mode. And that doesn’t work anymore, Terry McAuliffe proved that. A year after last year’s election, people know that Biden and Harris should be made to own and eat all of these failures, but they’re really out of step and out of sync with where America wants our policies to be, and they’re making a huge mistake in this way,” she pointed out to the Fox News host.

“They’re not taxing and regulating what I would call, you know, luxuries. It’s essentials, it’s what Governor Huckabee just laid out and you’ve laid out so beautifully. Things that people can’t cut. You can’t cut your family’s food budget, the gas you put in your car, the miles you drive to work or to daycare for your children, and this came at a time when people just felt like they were coming out of the lockdowns, the economy was improving,” she added.

“You had a Biden administration pretending they can bring us out of a once in a century pandemic economically and they can’t admit what inflation is. Joe Biden telling us all that we are sort of stupid and don’t understand what’s a supply chain crisis is,” Conway contended.

The left is having a meltdown over Conway’s statement because there were toilet paper, masks, hand sanitizer, and other PPE shortages due to the pandemic towards the end of former President Trump’s time in office. That was arguably not a supply chain issue as much as it was a panic buying response to the spread of the coronavirus.

The current supply chain issue under President Biden has little to do with panic buying. It ostensibly has to do with supply bottlenecks involving container shipments, trucking, and manufacturing. However, the left is blaming consumers now for the supply chain crisis, not Biden’s economic policies. White House press secretary Jen Psaki blamed Americans for purchasing more items online in an attempt to give Biden cover over the issue.

Earlier in the interview, Hannity also spoke with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee who was in full agreement with Conway’s assessment of the supply chain and inflation.

“You know, Governor Huckabee, record-low approval ratings, mid-30s. It’s about as bad as it gets. They had a political beat down last week in Virginia and New Jersey of all states. Their answer so far is to double down on stupid and push even harder for socialist policies. It is not going to work out well for them,” Hannity said.

“It’s going to be a bigger disaster. I couldn’t believe that Biden was saying that the reason that those races were so tough was because they didn’t go far enough, fast enough to the left, so let’s hope he keeps driving into that ditch because it’s the best thing that can happen not just for the Republican Party, Sean. It’s the best thing that will happen to the country,” Huckabee remarked.

“Let’s get back to energy independence. Let’s get back to securing the border. Let’s get back to making things in America rather than being dependent upon China and other countries to get the things that we need and have stuff stuck out there in the Pacific Ocean waiting to come to port,” he said.

“There’s a whole lot of America that I think are regretting that they ever voted for Joe Biden, and they feel it every time they squeeze the handle of a gas pump. That single mom that can’t afford to put gas in her car, get her kids to the daycare so she can go to work and put food on the table, they’re feeling it, and it’s just amazing to me that Biden and his team mock Americans for the trouble that he is causing them by inflation, high prices, and just run-away cost of everything that matters,” the former governor noted.

“What’s ironic here is Democrats claim to have a monopoly of compassion for poor Americans,” Hannity noted. “The people that are most affected by these policies, governor. It’s the poor, it’s the middle class. They cannot afford to pay more for every single item they buy. They can’t afford another $500 or $1,000 a year to heat their homes. They can’t afford another 20, 30 bucks every time they fill up their gas tank, and that’s what they’re now doing.”

“The Thanksgiving Turkey that last year cost about $12 is about to cost $21 this year according to all the projections,” Huckabee concurred. “That’s going to really make it so that a lot of families will be having soup. But soup is going to cost more. So this idea that the only people that are going to be touched are the billionaires and millionaires? Once again the Democrats show they don’t have a clue about how the economy works. Not a clue.”

“But Americans are going to feel it and I hope they wake up and realize that Barack Obama said something that was really true, elections have consequences, and the one in 2020 has had some very severe consequences for American families,” he concluded.
