Biden condemns himself by condemning DarkSide’s Colonial pipeline attack

Op-ed views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.

A recent alleged cyber attack shut down the Colonial Pipeline and Democrats are suddenly alarmed. CNN reportedthat “the incident underscores just how vulnerable the nation’s critical infrastructure is to cyber attacks.” But while CNN is concerned by foreign disruption of our energy infrastructure, they cheered the domestic disruption of the Keystone Pipeline from the Oval Office. The irony is thicker than Jerry Nadler’s waist.

Biden says the United States will “disrupt and prosecute” the gang of hackers known as DarkSide, who the F.B.I has formally blamed for the Colonial Pipeline cyber attack.  But in January, the alleged President Biden used a pen to do the same thing — his cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline was also an attack on our nation’s critical infrastructure.

By admitting the Colonial Pipeline incident was an attack, Biden has just condemned himself. CNN’s reporting of the incident has underscored just how shameless and shameful they are as a “news” organization and what a sham the Democrat Party is.

Democrats ought to be celebrating this foreign interference. After all, when Joe cancelled the Keystone Pipeline and pledged to rejoin the Paris Accords, CNN celebrated the move. “President Joe Biden is wasting no time undoing the Trump administration’s efforts to prop up fossil fuels and deny the existence of a climate crisis,” they reported.

What difference  does it make whether DarkSide attacks a pipeline with a cyber attack or Biden attacks a pipeline with a pen? The consequence is the same — fuel shortages and higher gas prices.

This sudden concern about gas shortages and increased prices undermines the Democrat narrative about the urgent need to move away from fossil fuels. It proves the point that what we need is greater energy independence and to revive the Keystone Pipeline.

The reality is that the consequences of Biden’s anti-fossil fuel crusade will bring about the very thing Democrats are feigning concern about now  – fuel shortages and price increases. While CNN claims the attack underscores our vulnerability to foreign cyber attacks, they are also underlining our vulnerability to domestic attacks from Democrat climate change fanatics.

Now Biden is suddenly “committed to safeguarding our critical infrastructure.” I thought he wanted to eliminate this critical infrastructure to save the planet. When DarkSide shuts down a pipeline it’s an attack. When Biden shuts down a pipeline it’s “decarbonization” — a commitment to address climate change. The Democrat Party is a joke.

The concerns of fuel shortages and hiked gas prices due to the most recent cyber attack are merely a harbinger of what is to come under the Biden Administration. Democrats and Biden have no right to condemn the DarkSide attack when they themselves are committing the same attacks through their anti-energy policies.

The cyber attack does prove our critical infrastructure is vulnerable but the greatest threat isn’t in Eastern Europe, but in the White House. If Joe wants to disrupt and prosecute any gang for attacking our critical infrastructure he should start with himself and his own party.
