Jesse Watters: Biden’s lax border rules create opening for China’s ‘drug warfare’ against America

Fox News host Jesse Watters blasted President Joe Biden’s overturning of his predecessor’s tough border enforcement policies, which he says will ultimately serve two purposes: To turn Texas blue and allow China to continue undermining U.S. national security through the employment of “drug warfare.”

During his opening monologue Saturday, Watters explained how, over the decades, unlimited immigration involving mostly Hispanic migrants turned California from a red state to a “deep blue” one, adding that Texas is currently undergoing the same trend.

Watters noted that since Ronald Reagan’s 27-point victory in the Lone Star state, subsequent GOP presidents have won the state by increasingly smaller margins. In 2016, former President Donald Trump won Texas by 9 points, but only by 5 points in 2020.

“Under five [points], that’s the danger zone. Then Texas is a toss-up,” he said on “Watters’ World” before putting up a graphic of the U.S. in which Texas joins the traditionally blue states, giving Democrats a 257-electoral vote advantage heading into presidential elections.

But while Biden’s plan to “turn Texas blue” is political, it has “sinister” national security implications as well, said the host.

Watters went on to note that China has “formed an alliance” with Mexico’s powerful drug cartels, providing them with extremely potent ingredients with which to manufacture fentanyl for export into the United States. The cartels — which also control human trafficking — reportedly often use illegal alien smuggling as a distraction so they can then run highly dangerous and addictive fentanyl into the U.S.

“Biden’s Texas plan is dangerous for America,” Watters said. “It plays right into the hands of our enemies.”

“The cartels and the Chinese have formed an alliance,” Watters continued, adding that Fox Nation host Lara Logan broke the story last week. “Here’s the breakdown: China is shipping chemicals to the cartels in Mexico. The cartels run labs with Chinese equipment that manufacture the chemicals into fentanyl, an opioid 50 times more potent than heroin, 100 times more powerful than morphine.

“The cartels exploit the migrant flows as cover and shoot product right through the lax border into Texas,” the host added. “Once the fentanyl is distributed, the Chinese wash the money. The Communists launder the drug money for the cartels through casinos, counterfeiting, and even real estate — China’s even scooping up Texas ranch land near the border.”

Watters noted that all the cartels are concerned with is profit, but “China’s strategy” is “more sinister.”

He said China is employing a concept known as “drug warfare,” which Watters says “has a very long history” in the Communist country. “Just look at our industrial towns, hollowed out by Chinese trade policy and killer fentanyl.”

“Fifty-thousand Americans OD” on the drug annually, Watters went on, “and millions more are addicted. If you draw a line from China to Mexico and across the Texas border, that’s what drug warfare looks like.

“Biden’s trying to open the border so he wins Texas. But we’re gonna end up losing the whole country to China,” the host concluded.

On Friday, Fox News reported that Logan, while filming her report, witnessed four days’ worth of gun battles just over the border in Mexico.

“We’d arrived to find war raging on America’s doorstep,” she said in the narration of her segment.
