Trump is toast, brags fmr. prosecutor: FBI’s locking up insurrectionists country-wide, they’ll all blame him

Glenn Kirschner is an MSNBC and an NBC News legal analyst. He’s also a former federal prosecutor who is no fan of former President Trump. Kirschner believes that the DOJ may be in the process of building a grand jury case charging Trump with seditious conspiracy and incitement of the riot at the U.S. Capitol.

The supposition by Kirschner aired Friday on “The Dean Obeidallah Show” on SiriusXM. Obeidallah and Kirschner discussed the investigation into the riot and its consequences. Kirschner happily fantasized over Trump being charged and convicted of sedition and incitement.

Kirschner seemed certain that Trump would be nailed for the riot with the assistance of those who were arrested after the attack. A number of those in custody are claiming Trump told them to do what they did, just not in so many words. Legally, that is going to be walking on thin ice unless it can be proven that Trump is guilty of incitement, which would also then lead to sedition charges. It is highly unlikely this will be the case, especially considering the timeline and content of Trump’s speech in question, but the DOJ has a new boss and the left’s hope for bringing Trump to their form of justice springs eternal.

And per the interview, Kirschner claims to have friends in high places: “I think we’re waiting for a law-abiding Department of Justice to gel. The acting attorney general is actually a friend and former colleague of mine at this moment, and he’s a good man, he’s an honest man, he has always done his best by the American people for the decades that he’s been in public service, but I do think he’s a placeholder, and I do think maybe the Southern District of New York, which is, of course, an arm of the Department of Justice, may be waiting for Merrick Garland to get in place so they can begin to pull the trigger on indictments.” In other words, this is about revenge, and Garland will be all in for it.

He went on to say that he firmly believes that the grand jury is aggressively investigating what he calls an insurrection.

Kirschner was almost giddy in his optimism that Trump will be turned on by his supporters:

“And Dean, every day around the country, FBI agents are locking up insurrectionists, and what they do is they take them back to the local FBI field office, they Mirandize them, if they waive their Miranda rights, they interrogate them, they get them to confess, and all of these insurrectionists are weak human beings for the most part, or they wouldn’t need to beat people with flagpoles and strap long guns across their big old bellies.”

“And after they confess, they will ask the motive question, why did you do this? Indeed, every last one of them will be saying the same thing,” Kirschner said.

“Donald Trump told me to. He told me that people in that building up the street that he was going to march on with us, he punked out, they stole my vote. They stole our election. And he told us to go in there and stop them,” he added.

He went on to accuse Trump, arguing that he incited the riot. Kirschner also claimed that a case was not only being built against Trump, but Donald Trump Jr., Rudy Giuliani, and others who spoke at rallies and stood against voter fraud.

Then the MSNBC legal analyst went right over the cliff of incitement himself:

“So here’s the good news. I think that all of my friends and colleagues at the DC U.S. Attorney’s office are working night and day to build a seditious conspiracy case, and incitement to insurrection case against Donald Trump and the others, and not to argue against myself, and the argument is Donald Trump should be locked up right now, I also acknowledge because I’ve done it a hundred times, that building a big conspiracy case in the grand jury takes time,” he claimed.

“The question is, how much time do we have before Donald Trump launches his second attempt at insurrection?” he asked.

Trump has not been formally charged or convicted of insurrection and the left is already laying the groundwork for a second one to blame on him. Once again, it is fair to ask exactly who is inciting who these days.
