Make no mistake, the mainstream media was incensed on Monday when President Trump departed Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he was being treated for COVID-19.
The president was admitted to the renowned facility on Friday after testing positive for what he has been referring to lately as the “plague from China,” and while it may still be a bit early to declare victory, his return to the White House had a triumphant ring to it.
A video capturing the dramatic moment was shared by the president and the evening news was dominated by his return.
Yet, amid the collective temper tantrum, which included a full meltdown over Trump removing his mask while standing alone on the South Portico’s stately balcony, there was a tweet from Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin that stood out — which is quite an accomplishment given the scale of Monday’s meltdown.
Congress might want to defund Walter Reed. It is a public health hazard.
— Jennifer 'pro-voting' Rubin (@JRubinBlogger) October 5, 2020
Billed for a long time as a “conservative,” Rubin could serve as the poster child for the Trump Haters Club of America, and she had the audacity to say that Congress should consider defunding Walter Reed.
Keep in mind, this is a military treatment facility, and that in addition to providing care for members of the military and their families, Walter Reed also provides care for the president, vice president, members of Congress and Supreme Court justices.
Rubin epitomizes the sheer arrogance of today’s media, as she challenged the doctors treating President Trump over the decision to allow him to return to the White House to continue treatment — the Executive Mansion has first-class medical facilities.
Who knew that in addition to being an alleged journalist, that Rubin was qualified to dispense medical advice — without even seeing the president’s chart of test results.
any MD who publicly endorses this insanity needs to lose his/her license. Period.

A 74 yr old obsese man with covid – who might have lung damage – and a pattern of disregarding medical advice is returned to an environment in which he may infect others. What planet does Conley inhabit? Where is the rest of Walter Reed? The VP? They are remarkable cowards

In seems clear that the liberal media complex is enraged that Trump has seemingly beat COVID-19, and has done so in record time. He’s not entirely out of the woods yet, but he is doing remarkably well, according to several reports.
With the election now under 30 days, this was very likely a game-changer and they know it.
Just look to the reaction from former CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric, who whined about the evening news covering the president leaving Walter Reed — which occurred during their broadcast.
Honestly I find it infuriating. Why didn’t anyone have the balls to say we are not doing this? Please network executives. You were just played.
— Katie Couric (@katiecouric) October 6, 2020
Of course, had this been former President Barack Obama, Republicans can imagine the media’s response.
Further infuriating the media, Trump had the audacity to offer the American people hope in a tweet encouraging folks to live their lives instead of hiding under their beds — advice that millions of Americans have already been heeding.
“I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M.,” Trump tweeted. “Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”

The president shared a passage from an op-ed written by Miranda Devine that was published Monday by the New York Post that captures why the media is reacting as they are.
You see the enthusiasm for the president outside Walter Reed, where stalwarts have gathered to wave flags outside his window and cars honk their horns in appreciation.
You see it in new voter registrations, from Florida to Pennsylvania and West Virginia, where Republicans are outstripping Democrats by as much as two to one.
If the president bounces back onto the campaign trail, he will be an invincible hero, who not only survived every dirty trick the Democrats threw at him, but the Chinese virus as well. He will show America we no longer have to be afraid.
As for Rubin, the Washington Post columnist even lost some on the left, as seen in a tweet from liberal journalist Yashar Ali:
Great idea…let's punish soldiers, physicians, nurses, and staff for the president's decision to return home and not allow his physician to reveal personal medical info.
You're embarrassing your colleagues at the Post. https://t.co/jVpuBsvlFu

Here’s a sampling of other tweets blasting Rubin for her deranged remarks:
Walter Reed is where our heroic military men and women go to get treated after getting wounded in combat, you vile human being. https://t.co/BONmm2PxfF

This is by far your worst tweet and that’s saying something.

Humanity has done itself a massive disservice by not studying the effects of whatever psychological affliction the left is currently suffering from. We should learn about its effects and how it happens ASAP so this bizarre reaction doesn’t happen again.
