Fox Business host Lou Dobbs came to the defense of President Trump and slammed Fox News for joining the “hit job” over the “horrible lies” presented in a recent report.
The host of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” ripped into the media during his Tuesday program because they “corroborated” the explosive story published in The Atlantic which cited unnamed sources who claimed the president had called fallen World War I soldiers “losers” during a 2018 trip to France.

Dobbs called “shame” on Democrats, the left and the complicit media for the “fake news” during a scathing monologue on Tuesday, focusing his ire on those news outlets that helped in “pushing the lie” about Trump’s 2018 trip in which he allegedly insulted the war dead and refused to visit a cemetery in France where fallen WWI service members are buried.
Dobbs slammed Democrats and “their latest efforts to undercut the president rolled out through their propagandists throughout the left-wing national media,” referring to the claims in The Atlantic piece by editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg which were punched full of holes by the president, the White House and many others — including former National Security Advisor John Bolton.
The Fox Business host noted the “level of coordination” in the attack of the president over the story and how the “media hit job” spread online “without even a hint of a fact check label from those social media platforms.”
“The Associated Press claims to have corroborated the story in its entirety, but then didn’t have any evidence to corroborate it — not a single, single named source,” Dobbs said.
“And the Washington Post, CNN, even Fox News claimed to have corroborated parts of the report, despite every news organization having not a single named source, nor any evidence whatsoever. What those unnamed sources did claim doesn’t stand up against the 21 Trump administration officials who are now on the record refuting the Atlantic’s horrible, horrible lies,” he added.
Trump had slammed Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin and called for her to be fired after she cited two sources – again unnamed – who allegedly backed up the claims made by the left-wing publication.
“Jennifer Griffin should be fired for this kind of reporting. Never even called us for comment. @FoxNews is gone!” he had tweeted, referring to the national security correspondent.
“I feel very confident with what we have reported at Fox,” Griffin later said in defense of her remarks which she claimed were “unimpeachable.”

Former Fox News host Greta van Susteren challenged Griffin to name the sources, adding in a tweet, “I hate this overuse of anonymous sources.”
Dobbs went on to slam the circle of connections on the left, noting how The Atlantic magazine was bought by the widow of Steve Jobs who “has been one of the Democratic Party’s biggest donors, one of Joe Biden’s mega-donors and reportedly communicates often with the chief editor, Jeffrey Goldberg.”
“By pushing the lie that President Trump said something disparaging of our military, the left-wing national media has given the Biden campaign a chance to gloss over the fact that Biden enthusiastically supported the Iraq War, something President Trump outright opposed and that most Americans now see as a terrible mistake,” Dobbs said.
“President Trump’s actions and demonstration of respect for the military speak for themselves,” he added.
“This is not a man who thinks our armed forces are in any way to be disrespected,” Dobbs continued, torching the “radical Dems and the leftist deep state and the left-wing national media who fault this president without facts, without evidence and without truth.”
“Shame on the left,” Dobbs concluded his fiery rebuke. “Shame on the radical Dems. And shame on the fake news and fake journalists who manufacture it.”
