CNN’s Joe Lockhart sparked backlash again after a misogynistic insult to women that he aimed as an attack on the “bleached blondes” of Fox News.
The CNN political analyst drew instant fire on social media with his tweet reacting to the “false outrage” over House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s controversial hair salon appointment. Lockhart stepped on a rake with his attempt to attack women in a defense of Pelosi, who was slammed Wednesday for video that showed her at a shuttered hair salon without a mask.
“Before [I] fall for the false outrage over @SpeakerPelosi [I] would like to know where and how all the bleached blondes @foxnews and the White House have managed to keep their hair from returning to it’s [sic] natural color,” Lockhart tweeted on Thursday.

He even took a direct swipe at White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who once worked as a producer at Fox News, over her criticism of Pelosi.
says the women who apparently has not missed a hair coloring session in the 6 months of Covid.

Lockhart, who was himself the White House Press Secretary under former President Bill Clinton, was applauded by the left for his sexist remarks though many others on Twitter slammed him for the hypocrisy.
Super genius move by dude to launch attack on women to defend Pelosi. https://t.co/4B0npRfwdR

“Joey has issues with women, serious issues,” Townhall columnist Derek Hunter tweeted. “Happens when you worked for Bill Clinton, you only see them as receptacles. But he also seems to have problems with geography, since the women he’s attempting to smear here don’t live in California, where there are strict restrictions.”
He packs a lie, some sexism, and several basic errors of English punctuation and capitalization into less than 280 characters. This is why these guys make the big bucks. https://t.co/8suiDc4HjV

And Lockhart was called out directly by conservative author and commentator Bethany Mandel, who was targeted earlier this year for her stand against coronavirus lockdowns. Lockhart had joined the pile on condemning Mandel in a tweet adding to her “grandma killer” comment.
You’re a grandma killer yes. But you’re also a nurse killer, a doctor killer, a cop killer, a grocery clerk killer, a student killer, a 5 year old killer, a bus driver killer, a father killer who just had a child killer, a family killer. Good people take care of their community.

Mandel exposed his hypocrisy in a tweet on Thursday.
So let me get this straight: bringing my kids to the outdoor zoo makes me a nurse, grandma, etc killer. But Nancy can walk around an indoor salon that’s closed to the public WITHOUT A MASK is totes fine? You’re a hack.

Lockhart was blasted earlier this week by the Trump campaign which called on CNN to fire him after he speculated that the president had had a “stroke” last November which he has been hiding. Slamming Lockhart as a “lifetime failure,” the Trump campaign accused the ex-Clinton press secretary for “knowingly pushing a conspiracy theory.”
“Great political expert that he is, Lockhart single-handedly sank the John Kerry campaign and now he’s doing the same to Joe Biden from a distance. If another CNN employee said similar things about Barack Obama they’d be fired immediately, so the same standard should be applied here,” Trump’s reelection campaign wrote.
Last week, Lockhart again sparked backlash after he attacked former Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann.
I’m watching tonight because it’s important. But i don’t have to watch this snot nose entitled kid from Kentucky.

Lockhart’s network settled a $250 million defamation lawsuit earlier this year brought against them by Sandmann.
