Fox News host Laura Ingraham called on American patriots to rise up against the mob and stand up to “the bullies of the Left.”

The host of “The Ingraham Angle” encouraged her viewers to not give up hope in the face of recent violence and challenging unrest in the nation, reminding them that Americans have come through past hard times and that President Trump now represents the “last line of defense” against left-wing anti-American sentiments, comments that were echoed by Rep. Jim Jordan as well.

Ingraham called out Republican lawmakers who plan to take an 18-day recess despite an ongoing pandemic and amid continued unrest and racial division across the nation, criticizing the move during a lengthy monologue on Tuesday’s show.

“Now, when we see this kind of behavior, it can look like our cause is hopeless, but it is not,” she said. “We’ve been through tough times before and we’ve come out on top and we can again now.

“Remember the 1970s and how bleak the outlook was for the country? …” Ingraham asked.

“Watergate, the quagmire of Vietnam, the oil embargo, double-digit inflation, and of course, a lot of sky-high interest rates, not to mention a hostile media and the malaise of Jimmy Carter’s presidency. Well, a lot of people lost hope. They were convinced we would never be able to prevail over the Soviet Union or end communism,” she noted.

“But Ronald Reagan emerged to defend the greatness of America and then to call out the dangers from the other side,” Ingraham added. “He reminded us to have confidence in ourselves and to believe that the USA was worth defending.”

She assured viewers that “the situation we face now isn’t really any more dire than we faced back then.”

“By the way, back then, it included an immediate threat of a thermonuclear war,” she noted.

“Remember how everyone at the same time was predicting the end of conservatism after Obama won in 2008? Well, I was there in 2009 and I spoke at some of the Tea Party events …” Ingraham continued.

“Well, Romney bombed out in 2012, of course he did, but we didn’t give up. [In] 2014, we took back the Senate. And two years later, we did the unthinkable and put Donald Trump in the White House,” she said. “Now, we did all of that with the political superstar, Barack Obama, as president.”

The Fox News host noted that although the liberal media tries to sell former Vice President Joe Biden as the unbeatable presidential contender, Democrats are making “huge mistakes.”

She went on to reiterate that a Democratic takeover of the American government can only be prevented if “patriots” rise up against the mob.

“So right now, we need patriots from every state, from every walk of life, from all races and backgrounds to stand up for America, to stand against the bullies of the left,” Ingraham said.

“For years now, it’s been obvious that President Trump and the movement he leads is the last line of defense against the anti-Americanism the left will unleash if it’s allowed to retake the levers of government,” she added. “We have four months left to defeat the forces that want to destroy our country and erase our history.”

Ingraham concluded, saying the “establishment and the media will never see it coming,” and reminded viewers that “freedom is always worth fighting for.”

Republican Congressman Jim Jordan spoke out against the so-called cancel culture in America and said he believes the 2020 presidential election is about who can “save” the nation and its ideals.

Jordan spoke with Fox News host Shannon Bream on “Fox News @ Night” Tuesday, asking “Who can save America?”

“Is it going to be Joe Biden or Donald Trump. I mean, think about the cancel culture mob [that] says that if you stand for the pledge now, you stand for the anthem, somehow you’re terrible,” Jordan said.

“Where does this end?” he asked.

“The fundamental question, I think, for the American people is who do you think can stand up to the mob? Joe Biden or President Trump? That is really what this election now in my mind all boils down to,” the lawmaker said.

“Where does it end? Where does it stop? No one is safe with the mob and that’s why it is so important that we stand up now before this gets even more out of control,” Jordan added. “Stand up and say it is wrong, it should not happen, this politically correct cancel culture left-wing mob is exactly wrong for this country and this election is when we can stand up and say ‘we’re not going to tolerate it.'”
