Offended media ironically describes fed-up Americans mad at lying press ‘abuse and stalking’

President Donald Trump has become famous — or infamous, depending on your point of view — for calling out the American press and labeling them “enemies of the people.”

And for all the whining and wailing the press does about that, ‘the media’ continually proves the president correct.

Case in point: The Leftist activists at Mediate posing as ‘fair-minded’ arbiters of press coverage.

It’s no secret that ‘the media’ has been hostile towards Americans protesting prolonged, and pointless, shutdown orders now coming mostly from Democratic governors and mayors who are obviously power-drunk.

For the past three years, minimum, the same press has lied repeatedly about President Trump and his administration while carrying water for the same Deep State ‘establishment’ figures liberal media types used to rail against in the 1960s and 1970s. The ‘Russia collusion’ story was a hoax from the outset, but no one in the anti-Trump media dared or cared to find out the truth.

So it’s no wonder a growing number of Americans are fed up with ‘the media’ and its tainted, politically biased coverage, as is being demonstrated by the behavior of some protesters at anti-lockdown events.

However, the folks in the media don’t get it.

Here’s how Mediaite characterized protesters who reacted negatively to the presence of a Long Island, N.Y., reporter — from the typical “smear Trump first and foremost” angle — under this headline: “Trump Eggs On Coronavirus Protesters Who Stalked and Abused Reporter, Calls Them ‘Great People!’:

President Donald Trump explicitly encouraged protesters who berated and stalked a reporter on video, saying people “can’t get enough” of the hostile actions, and calling the aggressors “Great people!”

On Saturday morning, Trump retweeted video of his supporters verbally attacking and stalking reporter Kevin Vesey as he tried to file a story on their protest.

‘Stalked and abused’ a reporter? That’s an opinion. But it also feeds into why conservatives are angry at the press, to begin with.

And the reporter himself doesn’t do anything to change people’s minds.

In a tweet that includes his filed report, Vesey complains about being harassed and ‘stalked,’ but in his report, he uses the same kind of inflammatory, incorrect, and insulting language the media has long used to describe Trump supporters and all conservatives when he called demonstrators “right-wing.”

When was the last time Vesey used the phrase “left-wing” to describe Democrat-leaning protestors or Democrat voters?

Not everyone agrees, of course, and that includes other reporters.

In an interview with Fox News’ media guy, Howard Kurtz, network correspondent Griff Jenkins defended Vesey.

“I send my support in regard for Kevin Vesey for going out there. He went by himself, he had no cameraman, he was shooting with his cell phone, a reality of this time, and he was there to tell their story, and they harassed him,” Jenkins said.

“They really missed their opportunity with a guy that was there to be fair. I’m not sure the president tweeting supporting them is the right move here. I’ve been in the reporter role when I’ve been out there back during the anti-war protestors during the Bush and Obama years and we’re telling your story, let us do it without being harassed,” Jenkins continued.

‘There to be fair’? Really? ‘Right-wing protesters’ is fair?

Jenkins — and Vesey and Mediate — don’t get it. They don’t understand the “level of anger” directed at the media by conservatives because they appear to be oblivious to the fact that ‘the media’ has caused it after years of denigrating, demeaning, and maligning them.

**Warning: Graphic language

Yes, Donald Trump called out the establishment media for what it has long been: Fake news factories rife with fascistic propagandists for the Democrat Party. But the fact is his message resonated not because he said it, but because it’s true.

The ultimate irony in all of this is that while the mainstream media continue to recoil at the animosity shown them by conservatives, they fail to grasp the fact that they created the animosity in the first place.
