Mail-in motive? Biden contradicts himself with far-fetched claim Trump WILL try to postpone election

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden says President Trump is going to try to postpone the November elections, but as usual, the man has no idea what he’s talking about.

During a virtual fundraising event covered by CBS News’ Bo Erickson, who served as the pool reporter, Biden claimed that Trump will postpone the election because “it’s the only way” he can win.

“Mark my words, I think he is gonna try to kick back the election somehow, come up with some rationale why it can’t be held,” Biden said, according to CBS News.

He added: “I promise you the Russians did interfere in our election and I guarantee you they are doing it again with two other major actors. You can be assured between [Trump] and the Russians there is going to be an attempt to interfere.”

In fact, as the Robert Mueller witch hunt even concluded, Moscow did not ‘collude’ with the 2016 Trump campaign.

This isn’t the first time Biden has spouted this wild conspiracy, which of course is meant to perpetuate the Democrats’ claim that Trump is an authoritarian who wants king-like powers (when really, it’s the other way around).

Earlier this month, when he was waffling over whether Wisconsin should have its primaries in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Biden expressed a similar concern, the Washington Examiner reported.

But there’s just one problem with his conspiracy theory: It can’t happen:

Although he suggested Wisconsin shouldn’t have gone ahead with its races, Biden was adamant November’s general election could not be pushed back — a concern among many Democrats that cannot happen because Election Day is set in federal law.

In fact, the law was passed by the 28th Congress in 1844, setting Election Day as the first Tuesday in November. And even Left-wing Vox notes that changing the date or postponing the election is simply not possible. What’s more, the 20th Amendment specifies that “the terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January.”

And never mind that Trump attempting to postpone a presidential election would draw bipartisan congressional condemnation — since elections for the House and Senate are on the same day — not to mention widespread, likely violent, protests.

So what’s Biden really talking about? The Democrats’ nationwide mail-in ballot scheme.

Speaking of ‘postponing elections,’ it’s the Democrat Party that has pushed, successfully, to postpone a number of state primaries, and they’ve used the coronavirus pandemic as their reason.

And Democrats have already tried to claim that our country must adopt nationwide mail-in voting to ‘protect Americans’ in November, using the virus as the excuse to export California-style ballot harvesting to the entire country.

At the same event, Biden wailed on Trump for allegedly opposing new funding for the Post Office, as CBS News reported:

Not financially assisting the postal service, Biden alleged, would be one way the Trump administration could impact proposed expansion of vote-by-mail efforts for the general election.

“Imagine threatening not to fund the post office. Now what in God’s name is that about? Other than trying to let the word out that he’s going to do all he can to make it very hard for people to vote. That’s the only way he thinks he can possibly win,” Biden said.

It’s one conspiracy after another with Biden and his party, but ‘mark his words,’ it is they who seek to steal a victory in November, not the president, and the vehicle they’re pushing is mail-in balloting.

Even former President Jimmy Carter agreed. “Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud,” was the conclusion of a bipartisan 2005 report of the Commission on Federal Election Reform, chaired by Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker III.

All of which comes down to this: Biden floats the notion that Trump the Authoritarian will postpone the November elections because ‘coronavirus,’ so we must have mail-in balloting nationwide to preclude Trump’s authoritarianism… because ‘coronavirus.’
