Remarkable video shows Iranian students avoid stepping on USA and Israeli flags out of respect

A remarkable thing is happening in Iran as thousands of protesters are taking to the streets to demand supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s resignation in the wake of a Ukrainian passenger jet being shot down, killing all 176 people on board.

The Persian Gulf country acknowledged that the airliner was mistakenly shot out of the sky due to human error on the night missiles were fired at Iraqi bases housing US troops

Protesters are angry over what they perceive as an initial cover-up on the cause of the crash, as Iran initially denied shooting down the plane.

Amid all the tension between Iran and the United States, another incredible thing is taking place in the country — Iranians are refusing to accept America as the enemy.

This was seen in a viral video of Iranians refusing to step on U.S. and Israel flags that have been painted on the ground at Shaheed Beheshti University.

Journalist Mohammad Mozafari shared the video clip, tweeting: “The people do not disrespect the flag of USA and Israel. They say all over Iran: We are not the enemy of the USA and Israel. Our enemy is the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Richard Grenell, the U.S. Ambassador to Germany shared the video, adding: “The Iranian people walk around the US and Israeli flags on the ground – rather than walk on them.”

Here is another angle of Iranians avoiding walking on the flags:

President Trump took to Twitter on Sunday to warn the mullahs not to kill protesters — in English and Persian.

“To the leaders of Iran – DO NOT KILL YOUR PROTESTERS,” he tweeted. “Thousands have already been killed or imprisoned by you, and the World is watching. More importantly, the USA is watching. Turn your internet back on and let reporters roam free! Stop the killing of your great Iranian people!”

In an earlier tweet, he offered a message to the Iranian people: “I’ve stood with you since the beginning of my Presidency, and my Administration will continue to stand with you. We are following your protests closely, and are inspired by your courage.”

A Persian tweet of that message was said to be the most liked in the history of Twitter.

The protests appear to extend beyond Tehran, as Mozafari shared another video of what he said was a protest in Qazvin. The largest city and capital of the Province of Qazvin, the city is just north of Tehran.

Again, the people are refusing to accept the U.S. as the enemy: ” Our enemy is in Iran/ they are lying that our enemy is America.”

As for all the media reports in the U.S. about how beloved Iran’s terrorist general was, Mozafari shared a video that he said was “the real voice of the Iranian people.”

In the clip, posters of Gen. Qassem Soleimani are being ripped from a wall.

Shamefully, Speaker Nancy Pelosi went on national television and downplayed any notion of unity between Iranians and the United States, given it may reflect positively on the president.
