Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard says Hillary Clinton is smearing her as a “Russian asset” as revenge because she endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016.
Gabbard also warned that if Hillary and her media minions can cavalierly defame a U.S. congresswoman like her, imagine what they can do to private citizens like you and me.
In fact, Gabbard says that’s precisely the warning they’re sending: “Shut up, toe the line, or be destroyed.”
Gabbard explained on a Twitter video: “If they can falsely portray me as a traitor, then they can do it to anyone. In fact, that’s exactly the message they want to get across to you: If you stand up to Hillary and the party power brokers, if you stand up to the rich and powerful elite and the war machine, they will destroy you and discredit your message. But here is the truth: They will not intimidate us. They will not silence us.”
Hillary & her gang of rich, powerful elite are going after me to send a msg to YOU: “Shut up, toe the line, or be destroyed.” But we, the people, will NOT be silenced. Join me in taking our Democratic Party back & leading a govt of, by & for the people! https://t.co/TOcAOPrxye pic.twitter.com/TahfE2XOek

Gabbard said the vindictiveness that Hillary and her minions are raining down on her stems from her decision to endorse Bernie Sanders back in 2016.
“People warned me in 2016 that my endorsement of Bernie Sanders would be the end of my ‘political career,'” Gabbard recalled. “They said Clinton would never forget — that she and her allies in politics and the media will make sure you’re destroyed.”
Gabbard noted that the Clinton Media Machine has written “countless hit pieces full of smears” in a bid to “destroy” her and sink her presidential campaign.
Keep in mind that Tulsi Gabbard is a decorated military veteran who served two tours of duty in the Middle East. She continues to serve as a major in the U.S. Army National Guard.
In contrast, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lied when she blamed the 2012 Benghazi embassy attack on an anti-Islam video. She also reportedly ignored 600 email requests from Ambassador Chris Stevens begging for more security before he and three other Americans were murdered by radical Islamic terrorists.
CNN pundit Van Jones agrees that Hillary is exacting revenge on Gabbard as “payback hell” for endorsing Sanders in 2016.
“Hillary just came out against a sitting U.S. congresswoman, a decorated war veteran, and someone who’s running for the nomination of our party, with just a complete smear and no facts,” Jones said.
Van continued: “This is a very, very dangerous game. Let’s not forget: Tulsi Gabbard was picked out by the Democratic Party establishment and put at the top of the DNC, and they thought she was going to be their golden girl.”
Jones added: “She looked around and she saw [then-DNC Chairwoman] Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and other Clinton allies doing stuff they shouldn’t have been doing in the primary. Tulsi publicly quit and then endorsed Bernie Sanders. And it has been payback hell ever since.”
Former White House strategist Steve Bannon predicts that Hillary will run for president again because her party realizes that the current crop of candidates cannot beat President Trump in 2020.
However, most people say that won’t happen. Why? Because Hillary is deeply unpopular among Democrats.
For example, CNN’s Van Jones — a staunch left-wing political operative — has had it with Hillary.
Van Jones — who supported Hillary in 2016 — trashed her for wasting $1 billion on the dumpster fire she called her presidential campaign.
“They took a billion dollars — a billion dollars! — and set it on fire!” Jones said in June 2017. “You need to give the money back to the people, period. Quit getting rich off people’s struggles!”
