Nancy Pelosi warns Jerry Nadler’s posse to back off impeachment: ‘Feel free to leak this’

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi — the leader of the flailing Democratic Party — slammed Jerry Nadler (the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee) for rabidly pushing to impeach President Trump.

In a closed-door meeting, Pelosi said Democrats do not have the votes to move forward with impeachment proceedings, and suggested the party back off before the strategy backfires on them.

“And you can feel free to leak this,” Pelosi said in the closed-door meeting, according to Politico.

Pelosi has publicly stated that she supports Nadler’s fruitless bid to impeach President Trump. However, aides say Pelosi secretly opposes the move because it’s alienating millions of centrist American voters, who do not support impeachment.

The festering feud between Nancy Pelosi and Jerry Nadler spotlights the growing civil war within the Democratic Party, which is slowly imploding as a huge rift develops between the radical-left faction and the moderate centrists (who make up the majority of the party).

This week’s chaotic Congressional hearing involving former Trump campaign aide Corey Lewandowski devolved into a circus because it spotlighted the disarray within the Democratic Party.

Specifically, the clownish political theater underscored that Democrats do not have their ducks lined up to execute an impeachment of President Trump.

It’s easy to spout incessantly about wanting to impeach Trump on CNN, but it’s almost impossible to impeach a sitting United States president without any evidence. Rumors, innuendo, speculation, and fake-news stories by left-wing media are not evidence.

The main instrument of impeachment was the “Trump-Russia collusion” hoax. But Robert Mueller’s final report concluded that there was no evidence of collusion and insufficient evidence of obstruction of justice. So basically, the Democrats’ entire basis for impeachment crumbled due to lack of evidence.

So now, Jerry Nadler is trying to revive the “hush-money” payment debacle involving porn star Stormy Daniels.

However, Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz has dismissed the “hush money” stunt as much ado about nothing. Dershowitz is a lifelong liberal who voted for Hillary Clinton.

As BizPac Review reported, Pelosi is aware that most Americans do not want impeachment because they saw how it divided the country when Republicans tried to impeach Bill Clinton. It wasted millions of dollars in taxpayer money and still failed to remove Clinton from office.

The strategy also backfired on Republicans, who were voted out in 2000 amid the GOP’s fervor to impeach Clinton.

As it is, impeachment is nothing more than toothless political theater bankrolled by American taxpayers. And while that’s going on, Congress does nothing to help Americans, such as address the:

  • Illegal immigration crisis
  • Homelessness
  • Poverty
  • Opioid epidemic
  • Crumbling infrastructure

Even if the Democrat-led House of Representatives voted to impeached President Trump, the Republican-led Senate would have to convict him before he’s impeached. And even if Trump were impeached, that doesn’t automatically lead to his removal.

Exhibits A and B: Democratic presidents Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson were actually were impeached but weren’t removed from office. Why? Because their impeachment trials failed to gain a two-thirds majority vote in the Senate.

In fact, there has never been a U.S. president removed from office using the impeachment process. Nancy Pelosi knows this, and that’s why she’s steering clear of impeachment.
