Meghan McCain was one of many voices slamming Bill O’Reilly for his “gross and ghoulish” remarks about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s health problems.
The co-host of ABC’s “The View” blasted the former Fox News host on Friday after he tweeted a reaction to reports about Ginsburg, who had surgery to remove cancerous nodules from her lung Friday while she was on the mend from rib fractures sustained in a fall last month.

McCain, who was a co-host on Fox News’s “Outnumbered” until 2017, slammed her former colleague and, invoking her Christian faith, called for prayers for a “speedy and healthy recovery” for the 85-year-old justice.
There’s really nothing more gross and ghoulish than people in the media pontificating on a public persons health and the hypothetical political ramifications of their death. Join me in praying for RBG to have a speedy and healthy recovery – we are Christians, aren’t we Bill? https://t.co/03qXbBzEKQ

O’Reilly came under heavy fire for his reaction to news of Ginsburg‘s surgery and for noting her failing health meant President Donald Trump could soon have another appointment to the Supreme Court.
Justice Ginsburg is very ill. Another Justice appointment inevitable and soon. Bad news for the left.

Liberals rebuked the former host of “The O’Reilly Factor” who was fired from Fox News in 2017 over allegations of sexual harassment.
You didn’t think this tweet through, did you? https://t.co/4hfh3gnX1X

She’s beat cancer twice. Wishing ill on the health of your political adversaries is tasteless. Buzz off, Bill. https://t.co/5IIVw3eWYs

Is this @BillOReilly‘s sickest tweet? https://t.co/n6QuyIVNa3

What an awful thing to say.
My best wishes and hopes to Justice RBG for her swift recovery. As she has shown again and again, she is tough as nails. https://t.co/CNJS9f0fVi

Thank you for always trying to be the grownup of your party its nice to know that decency didn’t leave this world with John McCain and George Herbert Walker Bush

Well, I am not a fan of yours, Ms. McCain, but I give credit where credit is due – this is 100% spot on, and thank you for saying it.

Yet amid the backlash at O’Reilly, some argued that he was only speaking out what many were already thinking in their heads.
Poor taste but it’s what folks are thinking.

Not a fan of his but he didn’t really wish ill on her.

– or said he was gonna prick the rgb voodoo doll— Federal Spy Guy (@FederalSpyGuy) December 21, 2018
Legitimately nothing he said is wrong.
“Justice Ginsberg is very ill” – Fact
“A new justice is imminent” – Fact
“Bad news for the left” – Absolute FactSorry but none of this should be considered inflammatory in the slightest.

Not sure what mental gymnastics you went through to figure @BillOReilly ‘s was wishing ill will on Ginsburg, but he wasn’t.
