Actor James Woods responded as only he can to the disappointing news about Nike propping up Colin Kaepernick financially, with the company rolling out the hard-left former NFL player’s mug as the face of its latest marketing campaign.
“Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything,” the accompanying message reads.
The decision suggests Nike is putting political correctness over profit or that there’s one helluva interesting marketing survey about just who their customer base is.
Either way, in light of Kaepernick’s disrespect for the nation’s anthem and police in general, the left will love the decision, but those who love America and support law enforcement — people like Woods — have a different take. As do veterans.
Playing on Nike’s tag line, “Just do it,” Woods tweeted out an image of the company’s iconic ‘swoosh’ logo that read: “Nike Stock… Just Sold It.”

Woods wasn’t content with just one tweet calling attention to Nike’s poor choice, adding an image of the message he sent to the person handling his stock portfolio.
The tweet included the hashtag, #ScrewNike.”

And still he wasn’t finished, imploring upon his vast following in another tweet to divest in the company’s financial well being.
Woods tweeted: “To be truly effective, make sure you not only #DumpNikeStock, but dump any investment fund or mutual fund that holds @Nike stock. Further send an email stating the reason you are dumping that mutual fund. #DumpNike #ScrewNike.”

The outspoken conservative actor then reveled in watching the price of Nike stock drop as more and more Americans express their discontent.

He also slammed Nike for earning the praise of “communist voting” John Brennan and one of Iran’s most notorious tyrants.

The hashtag #NikeBoycott was trending Tuesday morning, with social media users only too happy to tip Nike off on what real sacrifice looks like.
If you want to discuss sacrificing EVERYTHING. Let’s remember what sacrificing EVERYTHING means.

Hey @Nike I support your right to Express your speech and advertise how you please. But may I make a reccomendation instead of Kaepernick? Look up Michael P. Murphy. You made a slogan that fits this man better than anyone else. Just a thought. #NikeBoycott #Kapernick pic.twitter.com/1PUTR3TBvd

I don't need to #NikeBoycott because I'm smart enough to not pay a premium for a brand name in the 1st place.
I find @Kaepernick7 kneeling for the anthem offensive, but I also understand he didn't intend it that way.
My issue is the campaign slogan of "sacrifice everything." pic.twitter.com/rmXz77uDJH
