Forget Donald Trump’s “Art of the Deal” and FDR’s “New Deal,” today’s progressive Democrats are offering a “Better Deal.”
…all the while, proving there’s no such thing as government being too big.
House and Senate Democrats are running a new campaign slogan up the flag pole, appropriately titled: “A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future.”
The “Better Deal” features good-paying jobs, lowering the cost of living, which starts with cheaper prescriptions drugs, and better workforce training and education that will help Americans compete in the marketplace.
Democrats also promise “to make sure the rules of the economy support companies that focus on long-term growth, rather than short-term profits.”
A promise that brings to mind socialist thoughts guaranteed to please Bernie’s army.
Of course, with no mention of climate change, single-payer health care, free college, raising taxes on the rich and trumped up claims of racism to further identity politics, the folks who backed Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign are going to be left wanting.
One thing is certain, the opposition is not impressed. The GOP took to social media to ridicule the effort, saying: “The Democrats’ new ‘Better Deal’ messaging is so bad that even MSNBC is making fun of it.”
The tweet links to a video of the “Morning Joe” crew critiquing the campaign.

Game show host extraordinaire Chuck Woolery wasn’t too impressed either, but he nailed it better than most when he tweeted: “A new deal, A better Deal. Dealing from the bottom of the deck, The Great Society. Had enough Socialism yet?”

Here’s a sampling of other responses from Twitter:
Having followed politics closely for 25 years, the Democrats ‘A Better Deal’ is the same tired garbage in a new wrapper.

The minute Democrats actually use "Better Deal" as their slogan, Trump will tweet that his is The Best Deal, and that will be the end of it. https://t.co/5PEQtyv1E9
