Are we living in a banana republic?
FBI Director James Comey‘s shocking decision to not recommend charges against Hillary Clinton (again!) has many in law enforcement scratching their heads. Why? Because the numbers just don’t add up, they say.
Shortly after Comey’s announcement, retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn and former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik crunched the numbers and expressed shock at how quickly the FBI went through 650,000 emails.
Kerik and Flynn both made the following observation on Twitter: “There are 691,200 seconds in 8 days. FBI Director Comey reviewed 650,000 emails in 8 days? An email per second?”
Kerik later deleted his tweet, but stood by his remark that Hillary Clinton broke the law, and the FBI was letting her away with it.
The Wall Street Journal later claimed that the latest FBI probe was able to close more quickly than the first because the agency had narrowed its search of the 650,000 emails allegedly found on Anthony Weiner‘s laptop, Twitchy reported.
Meanwhile, many GOP lawmakers and observers on social media expressed outrage and disbelief that Hillary Clinton appears to have gotten away with breaking the law yet again.
A parody Twitter account of superstar athlete Tim Tebow summed it up best in a hilarious tweet:
Hillary: I never received classified emails.
FBI: You had your maid print classified emails.
Hillary: You got me. Now what?
FBI: Nothing.
