The Hollywood actress’ political remark is ridiculous on a lot of levels…

Salma Hayek is laying her reputation on the line to put her full-throttled support behind Democrat presidential contender Hillary Clinton.

Why? In large part because she’s a woman, of course.

“Because she’s a woman she’s always been in the shadows operating under the rules of men, and she’s navigated beautifully in it,” Hayek told The Daily Beast on Tuesday.

“We have not seen her full potential yet.”

Shudder!

Hayek was promoting her new movie “Tale of Tales” where she plays a powerful queen who calls the shots. So, it’s no wonder Hillary often comes to mind.

Hayek, who is no fan of Donald Trump, has been keeping an eye on the presidential election and took another opportunity to blast the GOP frontrunner.

“We have to take this very seriously. This is not a reality show. America is not a reality show. This is not Miss America or Miss Universe.”

Hillary on the other hand, would do a much better job at handling the nation’s problems, according to Hayek.

“She is levelheaded. She is kind. She has a heart. She’s human. She’s smart. But nothing brings her down.”

Hayek has a point on that last thought. Not many people could get away with imposing a national security risk by using an unsecured email server for official government business. Not to mention, lying outright to the American public about a terrorist attack that killed four Americans in Benghazi and still make a “successful” run for president.

And when it comes to fighting ISIS, Hayek still lives in utter fantasyland.

“Maybe it’s not as exciting, but it’s very dangerous right now to put the American army in the hands of the wrong people,” she concluded. “Either one extreme, or the other. These are not times to be messing around. I live in Europe and I tell you, it’s very, very dangerous. The only person that is truly respected by all the other countries is her. When they ask all of these people, ‘How would you deal with ISIS?’ I listen to them respond, and I tremble — except for when she talks.”
