‘Fixer Upper’ star Chip Gaines shows true class after liberal media smears him for being a Christian

Texas-based “Fixer Upper” reality TV star Chip Gaines took an extraordinary step Saturday in response to the liberal media outlets that have targeted him and wife Joanna for their Christian beliefs and choice of churches to attend.

…a step sure to infuriate the left even more because it serves to reinforce those very Christian values.

Gaines took to Twitter to ask supporters to respect BuzzFeed reporter Kate Aurthur, who “broke” the story that the Gaines family goes to a church that doesn’t support same-sex marriage, and Cosmopolitan “night editor” Gina Mei, who helped lead the secular charge against his family.

“Regardless of our decision to make a statement about all this craziness, or not, I ask that people please! respect & ,” he tweeted.

Chip Gaines’ overture did not go unnoticed, with The Daily Caller’s Jim Treacher noting that this is how one “puts Christian beliefs into practice.”
