A 13-year-old was attacked and beaten last week inside a Southern California McDonald’s and her mother is demanding answers — from McDonald’s.
The young girl, identified as Kassidy Jones, told her mother that a woman locked eyes with her as she exited the bathroom inside the restaurant. The woman seemed upset, according to Kassidy, who said the woman proceeded to tell her that she fights kids and then attacked her for no reason, ABC 7 reported.
A video making the rounds online shows an adult woman pulling Kassidy’s hair, forcing her to the ground and hitting her several times.

“There was a lot of kids inside McDonald’s, there was a lot of customers inside McDonald’s, not one person stopped this fight,” said the girl’s mother, Angelina Gray.
The woman seen in the video fighting the child remains at large and Gray called on her to turn herself in.
“I know you’re watching, I know your family is watching… Do the right thing and turn yourself in,” Gray said.
“My daughter is hurting emotionally. She can’t sleep at night. She’s bruised… She doesn’t want to go to school because she’s tired of the kids and everybody asking her what happened and making fun of her,” the mother added.
Protesters gathered outside the restaurant Saturday and called on McDonald’s to take action to ensure an attack like this never happens again — there were several calls for the fastfood chain to have security guards on site.

The McDonald’s location’s owner/operator Tawnie Blade addressed the attack in a statement.
“We were horrified to learn about this violent attack, and our thoughts are with Kassidy and her family,” Blade said. “Employees called police when the fight began, and we’re continuing to work closely with local law enforcement to help with their investigation.”
