Corporate media’s instinct to peddle panic porn was once again hampered by reality as one network pointed out what some have known all along.
“NBC is so close to getting it…”

Incentives to keep pandemic hysteria alive appear to be increasingly struggling to keep up with reality. As a result, stalwarts like Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo are no longer alone in pointing out obvious facts as a recent report from NBC News, albeit inadvertently, flirted with a breakthrough.
A report posted by the outlet Sunday made note of the most likely symptoms experienced by testing positive for COVID and highlighted the run-of-the-mill nature of the scary sniffles.
“Doctors say they’re finding it increasingly difficult to distinguish Covid from allergies or the common cold, even as hospitalizations tick up,” the summary of NBC News’ post read prompting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ press secretary Jeremy Redfern to quip, “NBC is so close to getting it…”

“I do recall early in the pandemic, when people got COVID it was you’re losing your sense of smell, right, and taste,” the NBC News anchor remarked to health reporter Aria Bendix dancing at the edge of the fact that for the vast majority of people, had the massive push for testing not occurred, they would never have even known they had the virus used to justify shutting down the economy.
“It isn’t the same typical symptoms that we were seeing before. It’s a lot of congestion, sometimes sneezing, usually a mild sore throat,” said Dr. Erick Eiting, the vice chair of operations for emergency medicine at New York City’s Mount Sinai Downtown.
“Just about everyone who I’ve seen has had really mild symptoms,” he added. “The only way that we knew that it was Covid was because we happened to be testing them.”
Despite the old habits of pushing out of context data like a rise of hospitalizations by roughly 80 percent without any indication as to how that number compared with COVID’s peak, the report managed to draw near to the conclusions of Dr. Ladapo who recently slammed efficacy and safety of the jabs with his recommendation about the latest booster.
“With virtually every walking human being having some degree of immunity, and the questions we have about safety, and about effectiveness — especially about safety — my judgment is that it’s not a good decision for young people, and for people who are not at high risk at this point in the pandemic,” said the surgeon general. “For people who are older, that’s really in Florida where we’re seeing impacts in terms of hospitalizations and deaths.”
Having come so close to putting the pieces together on COVID, those social media users who didn’t resort to roasting the outlet did their best to give the nudge needed to see the full picture.
Because that’s what it is. The common cold is a Coronavirus.

The same doctors who can’t distinguish Covid from an allergy told us masks saved a million lives and the vax is 96% effective? Ok, good deal.

The rebranding of the common cold is the greatest marketing plan ever executed.

Their job is not to get it.
It’s funny how hard they have to struggle now.

The aren’t close to getting it. They’ve always known they were dealing with a different strand of a common cold or flu. The goal for the 2020 election dictated an emergency. The legacy media followed orders.
