‘You Motherf**ker!’ Dave Portnoy pizza review goes horribly off the rails

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and a restaurant owner engaged in a heated F-bomb-saturated verbal exchange as an installment in his pizza review series went badly off the rails over a bad rating for the eatery.

The profanity-drenched argument was shown as a part of Tucker Carlson’s interview with Portnoy on the latest edition of “Tucker on X” where he sat down with the businessman and internet personality and the topic turned to a recent visit to a Massachusetts pizzeria that went downhill in a hurry.

Noting that most people are “thrilled” to be visited by Portnoy on his tour of pizza joints, Carlson said “but occasionally you get someone who’s got something going on in his personal life or has a problem with you and it doesn’t go well.” as he played a clip from the ill-fated trip to Somerville’s Dragon Pizza.

The clip opens with Portnoy standing outside holding a box with the pie and saying, “I don’t know how long it was sitting there. It looked, I’m gonna be honest, it looked better in the case. It looked more well done in the case than this one.”

Portnoy observed that the pizza was “very thin,” with an overly strong presence of parmesan, describing a piece as “a floppy mess” and giving the pie a 6.4 rating out of 10 because of the heavy parmesan which he described as being like getting hit in the face.

The owner then came out and things quickly took an ugly turn.

“Dave, enjoy your pizza as any customer, but I don’t appreciate what you do coming in and judging a business with one bite,” he said.

“Well, we do more,” Portnoy said. “Is this your spot?”

“This is my spot,” the Dragon Pizza owner replied. “I hope you enjoy your pizza, but I don’t appreciate what you do to small businesses.”

“I help them,” Portnoy said, to which the owner shot back, “I don’t see it that way,” telling him to go away. “Let me be a little clearer, move on, don’t stand in front of my business.”

“Hey, let me be clear, f**k you,” Portnoy shot back.

“Let me be clear, get the f**k out of the front of my business!” the owner reponded.

Portnoy didn’t budge, shouting back “F**k you! F**k you! F**k you! It’s a public street you motherf**ker! It’s a public street!”

“F**k you! F**k you!” Portnoy shouted again as the exchange became increasingly hostile.

“Your shirt sticks out, it’s too small fatso,” Portnoy told the man who yelled back, “Just go f**k yourself and the whole f**king platform you’re on. You’re a joke to me, dude. Take your f**king show and your f**king game and go somewhere else.”

After the clip, Portnoy told the laughing Carlson, “That’ll be the most viral pizza review we’ve ever had.”

“When you throw the first punch, I wanna bury you,” he added. “So I knew I was coming on this show and I knew your crowd, like my crowd, would be like, ‘F**k that guy!’ So I was so excited for the timing because that guy went out of his way to pick a fight with me.”

Portnoy stated that Dragon Pizza is “The Worst Pizza Place in America” in a post to X with an extended version of the confrontation.
