Woke scold Megan Rapinoe targets Dave Chappelle, claims trans jokes ‘directly leads to violence’

Standup star Dave Chappelle’s comedy came under fire once more as soon-to-be retired soccer player Megan Rapinoe demonstrated that woke activism can be both factless and humorless.

Though she may be stepping down from play after the U.S. Women’s National Team competes at the 2023 Women’s World Cup, the ideologue’s recent spread in Time Magazine signaled her preparedness to transition wholly toward leftist celebrity. Toward that end, the athlete asserted “trans people” were off limits to jokes as she alleged Chappelle’s brand of punchlines “directly leads to violence…”

“I don’t want to mince words about it,” Rapinoe told Time. “Dave Chappelle making jokes about trans people directly leads to violence, whether it’s verbal or otherwise, against trans people.”

She also took aim at tennis great Martina Navratilova and ESPN’s Sage Steele as both had shown their support for keeping women’s and girls’ sports exclusively for women and girls. “When Martina or Sage or whoever are talking about this, people aren’t hearing it just in the context of elite sports. They’re saying, ‘The rest of my life, this is how I’m going to treat trans people.'”

Rapinoe was wholly dismissive of repeated instances of men who considered themselves to be women taking away competitive opportunities, calling the notion “transphobic.”

“‘You’re taking a ‘real’ woman’s place,’ that’s the part of the argument that’s still extremely transphobic. I see trans women as real women. What you’re saying automatically in the argument–you’re sort of telling on yourself already–is you don’t believe these people are women,” she said. “Therefore, they’re taking the other spot. I don’t feel that way.”

Her refusal to acknowledge the consequences of allowing men like Lia Thomas to compete against women continued with her claiming, “We as a country are trying to legislate away people’s full humanity.”

“It’s particularly frustrating when women’s sports is weaponized. Oh, now we care about fairness? Now we care about women’s sports? That’s total bullsh-t. And show me all the trans people who are nefariously taking advantage of being trans in sports. It’s just not happening,” Rapinoe charged.

Unlike the soccer player’s unsupported claims, Chappelle, who had sparked controversy with leftists for exercising his First Amendment rights, had not only been attacked himself after getting rushed on stage by an assailant but his fans had also been subjected to acts of violence from alphabet activists.

“I’m not even made that they take issue with my work. Good, fine. Who cares? What I take issue with is the idea that because they don’t like it, I’m not allowed to say it,” Chappelle had said on his podcast “The Midnight Miracle” as he recounted a July 2022 incident outside a Minneapolis, Minnesota performance.

“They threw eggs. They threw eggs at the [fans] who were lined up at the show,” he explained, and said there were shouts of “Go home, transphobe.”

“Art is a nuanced endeavor. I have a belief that they are trying to take the nuance out of speech in American culture, that they’re making people speak as if they’re either on the right or the left,” the comedian added as he concluded, “They want to be feared.”
