Ted Cruz likens Biden to notorious gangsters Al Capone and John Dillinger over denial of ‘bribery’ scheme

A fired-up Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) reacted to President Joe Biden’s flippant response about an alleged $5 million bribe that he allegedly took while he was Barack Obama’s veep, money from a foreign actor that has now been reported to have been in Ukraine, a country that the regime has sent billions to.

The Texas Republican appeared on Thursday’s edition of “Kudlow” on Fox Business where he discussed the swirling scandal that threatens to engulf Biden’s presidency and possibly derail his reelection hopes, and during his conversation with host Larry Kudlow, he conjured up a historical reference to Biden that may or may not be a flattering one, likening the nation’s 46th president to notorious Prohibition-era gangsters Al Capone and John Dillinger.

When confronted by a reporter at the White House on Thursday, the smirking Biden responded to a question about a Republican member of the House Oversight Committee who accused him of selling out America.

“Congresswoman Nancy Mace says there’s damning evidence the FBI filed that you sold out the country,” the reporter asked Biden. “Do you have a response to congressional Republicans?”

“Where’s the money?” Biden said. “I’m joking. It’s a bunch of malarkey.”

“We just heard Joe Biden demonstrate the absolute smugness of being insulated by the most politically corrupt Department of Justice in history,” Cruz said. “And the most politically corrupt corporate media in history. The two together, they surround him, they protect him. Joe Biden says ‘where’s the money?’ how does he know they’re not gonna find the money? Well, because DOJ’s not looking, they don’t want to know the money…”

Kudlow later asked his guest, “How do we, when do we figure out whether or not Joe Biden took a bribe?”

“Well, I’ll tell you what – one person knows for a fact whether it is true or not and his name is Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr.,” Cruz responded, blasting Biden’s denial. “You know what Joe Biden could’ve done? He could’ve stood at the podium and said – if in fact, the allegation was false – he could’ve said, ‘This allegation is false. It’s ridiculous to say that I took a bribe. And I’m instructing the FBI to release that document now, make the evidence public because I’m innocent.’ That is what Biden could do.”

“But he doesn’t want to do that,” the Lone Star State lawmaker continued. “He wants the DOJ and FBI to cover it up. Why? Because he knows, the six-o’clock news… look, you’re gonna show it on Fox Business but hold your breath for CNN, hold your breath for MSNBC. ABC, NBC, CBS, where are they? Why are they not leading with a serious whistleblower alleges bribery by the President of the United States and the FBI stonewalled?”

“Joe Biden could call for full transparency,” Cruz added. “When he says, ‘Where’s the money?’ You know who else said that? Al Capone. You know who else said that? John Dillinger. Bank robbers say, ‘Where’s the money?’ You know what? You’re president of the United States. He has an obligation to be transparent with the American people.”

“And any journalist with a shred of integrity ought to go out and read about Woodward and Bernstein again and actually start practicing journalism instead of propaganda on behalf of the regime,” he concluded.
