Legendary Christian preacher Pat Robertson has died at the age of 93, and the left can’t contain their glee. This includes the media.
CNN reportedly broke the story early Thursday morning by highlighting all of Robertson’s controversial statements from the past.
“In 2001, he agreed with fellow televangelist Jerry Falwell that God allowed the 911 terrorists to succeed because America had moved to the left and removed religion from the mainstream,” CNN correspondent Stephanie Elam reported.
MSNBC then took CNN’s beer and did the same thing, running a 49-second sendoff that Mediaite notes “consisted mainly of Mika Brzezinski roasting the deceased 93-year-old and barely containing a smirk at the end.”
Watch:
The worst attacks came from print media.
“Pat Robertson, Televangelist Who Blamed Gay People for 9/11 and Hurricanes, Dies,” the headline at Rolling Stone stone magazine reads.
In addition to attacking him over his religious views, the radically far-left outlet also slammed Robertson for his ties to former President Donald Trump, though it did seem to give him credit for accepting Trump’s 2020 election defeat.
“Robertson was very much an active participant in the modern, far-right Christian conservatism he helped create. He supported Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020, and described those trying to stop him from doing so as ‘revolting against what God’s plan is for America,'” the hit piece reads.
“After a gunman killed 60 people in Las Vegas in 2017, Robertson blamed ‘disrespect’ for Trump. Robertson broke from the former president after the 2020 election, however, saying Trump needed to ‘move on’ from the loss and that it would be ‘a mistake’ for him to run again in 2024,” it continues.
Meanwhile on Twitter, “Rest in Hell” and “RIP BOZO” were trending all Thursday morning as leftists celebrated the lifelong Christian leader’s death.
Look (*Leftist profanity alert):
The fact that Pat Robertson went to Hell during Pride Month makes me almost believe there is a God..or Hell. pic.twitter.com/DD0Dd04pH9

When someone like Pat Robertson dies, it’s important that we are able to put our differences aside. So whether we are conservative or liberal, Christian or atheist, today is a day we need to join hands and celebrate. https://t.co/yOe9DcXD8M

Pat Robertson is finally able to experience the afterlife he always spoke about. Rot in Hell, you bigoted, racist motherfucker.
P.S. for any of you that say I should respect the dead, he didn’t respect the living, so fuck you too— Derek (@DerekNeverFails) June 8, 2023
Pat Robertson was an infection on this country who poisoned nearly every aspect of our lives and got away with it because it came with a thick coating of Christian bullshit. He spread lies, hate, and fear, and we will never fully recover from his damage. So fuck him forever.

Pat Robertson was a hypocrite, a demagogue, a disgrace to rationality and faith, and a threat to America.
And yet America STILL does not recognize that democracy requires a sane and educated population, which requires mandatory secular education emphasizing critical thinking.— Steven Tiger (@SteveTiger999) June 8, 2023
Pat Robertson didn’t respect the LGBTQ community, women, or anyone who wasn’t a Christian.
Now I’m supposed to respect him because he’s dead?
You can play nice and pretend to forget about everything he stood for before his death. I never will.
Fuck Pat Robertson.

Nice people …
For some odd reason, leftists have also been using Robertson’s death to insult the late conservative radio show host Rush Limbaugh.
Case in point:

#The best news since Rush Limbaugh died. Rest in Hell, Pat Robertson. Let me know where his grave is, so I can piss on it. pic.twitter.com/oDWPDEQP76

The apparent joke is that Limbaugh was in hell, and now Robertson is in hell with him. Of course, secular liberal atheists technically aren’t supposed to believe in heaven and hell, but hey, evidently they do now.
Also ironic about the attacks on Limbaugh is the way he’s living rent free in so many leftists’ heads, as noted by one conservative Twitter user.
Observe:
Pat Robertson dies, & the Left gets so worked up that Rush Limbaugh trends… wait, what?
They say Rush was a nobody who is long forgotten, yet (years after his death) they cannot stop talking about him!
Rush lives on… rent-free in the brains of Leftists everywhere LOL

Despite all the attacks on Robertson (and Limbaugh), there has also been plenty of actual, good-faith mourning by people who appreciated his wisdom.
“Pat Robertson, a great friend to my father, to me, and to our ministries, has moved to a new address in Heaven. Heaven is real and awaits everyone who puts their faith and trust in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. I will miss Pat, but I know that I will see him again one day. I’m sure that his family would appreciate our prayers,” Rev. Franklin Graham tweeted.
Other devout Christians quickly followed suit:

Heaven gained a general in the army of God with the passing of Pat Robertson. He is not gone, for we know where he is.
