Trans actor Elliot Page: ‘I knew when I was four years old … I understood that I wasn’t a girl’

The cacophony of activists promoting the idea of “trans children” added another voice this week as celebrity gender bender Elliot Page revealed what age she began to believe she was a boy.

Known best for an Oscar-nominated performance as a pregnant teen in the 2007 film “Juno,” the openly gay Page abandoned the name Ellen in December 2020 and announced to the world that she considered herself a man. On Tuesday, the 36-year-old’s book, “Pageboy: A Memoir” was released, wherein the performer claimed to have known at the age of 4 that she/he wasn’t a girl.

“When did you know?” a woman named Sara was said to have asked while they were out on a date in New York City.

“I knew when I was four years old,” Page wrote in her memoir, detailing a childhood growing up in Canada. “I went to the YMCA preschool in downtown Halifax, on South Park Street across from the Public Gardens.”

“Primarily, I understood that I wasn’t a girl. Not in a conscious sense, but in a pure sense, uncontaminated,” he continued. “That sensation is one of my earliest and clearest memories.”

The tale goes on to recount other experiences from the formative years that included sensations of attraction to other girls, attempts to urinate while standing and considering it to feel more natural, as well as asking mother Martha Philpotts, a French and English teacher if she could be a boy.

“No hon, you can’t,” the mother replied to Page who was only six years old at the time, “you’re a girl. But you can do anything a boy can do.”

“I was perplexed by my experience, severed from the other girls, twists in my stomach when I gazed at them,” Page wrote before going on to detail multiple crushes and an attraction to actress Sandra Bullock in the 1996 film “Two If By Sea” that set her “heart aflutter for Sandra Bullock, my eight-year-old self not comprehending that I once again had a crush.”

Page is just the latest voice pushing transgenderism to suggest that children are somehow capable of “knowing” in their infancy that they fall outside of gender norms or were born with the “wrong” physical anatomy despite lacking an understanding of sexuality and the puberty-induced hormonal balance associated with it.

As previously reported, many “gender-affirming” doctors set on performing irreversible genital mutilations and chemical castrations have advocated for the idea that even the unborn can be aware of such concepts.

Dr. Lauren T. Roth, a professor of pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in Bronx, New York said as much in an interview with BronxNet, “You know, it’s okay to be excited when you find out that your baby’s a specific sex. You know, people have dreams about what they want their families to be, but it’s really important not to push all those expectations on your child.”

“Toddlers start to notice physical differences and develop gender identity as early as 18 months to two years. They might begin talking about gender, playing dress up, having these established gender roles as early as age three or four,” she contended and suggested, “So it honestly starts at birth or even before.”

Likewise, the co-director of Boston Children’s Hospital’s Center for Gender Surgery while vying to promote increased training among medical students on his ideology suggested children “seemingly from the womb” can know that they are trans.
