‘Now that Mike Pence has entered the race, let me tell y’all some inside info…’

Former Vice President Mike Pence has officially thrown his hat into the presidential race for 2024 but supporters of former President Trump have not forgotten his actions concerning the last election where he refused to contest the Electoral College results.

One popular influencer on Twitter, DC Draino, laid out the case to stand against Pence in the election with some harsh accusations.

“Now that Mike Pence has entered the race, let me tell y’all some inside info: In the days leading up to J6, I was informed by trusted sources that Pence wasn’t going to contest the rigged electoral college results. I couldn’t believe it. How could he backstab 74 million people & allow fraud to overthrow our executive branch? But then I was told why…,” he wrote.

“He cut a deal with the Koch fundraising network to be their lead horse in 2024 if he backstabbed Trump and the MAGA movement in 2020. To those that say he didn’t have the power to contest fraudulent ballots and allow state legislatures to conduct further review, then why did they change the Electoral College Act in 2022 to explicitly state the VP could no longer facilitate that exact process?” the user asked.

“Because Pence could and he knew it, but he took the blood money anyway. We are not in this situation because of President Trump. We are here b/c powerful forces worked to ‘fortify’ the 2020 election and coward RINOs like Mike Pence partnered with them. Let’s show Judas what we think of his backstabbing in the ballot box,” he scathingly urged.

The Twitter pundit went on to assert that he can prove his claims.

“‘How can you prove it?’ Well to start, he just announced he’s running against President Trump. I’d say that’s pretty good confirmation in and of itself. Now we just have to verify his biggest campaign donors and see if they’re closely tied to Koch. Let’s review these FEC filings,” he tweeted.

Pence filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Monday to enter the 2024 presidential race, setting up a battle with Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) He is set to formally announce his candidacy on Wednesday, ahead of a CNN presidential town hall that evening, according to CNN.

“I think we’ll have better choices,” he told the Associated Press recently. “The American people want us to return to the policies of the Trump-Pence administration, but I think they want to see leadership that reflects more of the character of the American people.”

Trump far and away leads the GOP pack and it still appears the race is his to win or lose. His closest competition is DeSantis with Pence and Haley jockeying for a very distant third place.

In an average of polls by Real Clear Politics, Trump leads the field with 53% of GOP primary voters. DeSantis comes in at second with 22%, while Haley and Pence poll at 4% and 3%, respectively.

The former vice president is not popular among conservatives and is pretty much despised by Trump supporters these days. He has increasingly distanced himself from the former president, asserting that his encouragement of the protesters who were at the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, endangered Pence and his family, who were in the building at the time.

He joins a widening field of Republican candidates that include Trump, Senator Tim Scott, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is also planning to enter the race on Wednesday, according to Reuters and Chris Christie is jumping into the race on Tuesday.

The more who enter the race, the more likely it is it will split the Republican vote and benefit Trump in becoming the nominee.

Conservatives were not enthused at Pence entering the 2024 presidential fray:
