Fox’s Faulkner rips Chick-fil-A CEO for ‘amazingly crazy’ resurfaced video calling for white people to shine shoes of blacks

Fast food giant Chick-fil-A has joined the ranks of corporations taking fire over their embrace of “woke” ideology after it was revealed that the company has hired a new Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) czar, and with backlash building, a resurfaced video of the chain’s CEO is circulating on social media, footage that Fox News host Harris Faulker described as “amazingly crazy stuff.”

The popular chain, which is a favorite of conservatives for its professed commitment to Christian values, has been hit with calls for the type of boycotts that have already done great financial and brand damage to Bud Light and Target over its embrace of DEI, a racist ideology that espouses the discriminatory treatment of white people over historical sins of those who have long been dead. The June 2020 video of Dan Cathy calling for white folks to shine the shoes of blacks will likely only add fuel to the fire of those who believe that the company has sold out to the left-wing cultural revolution.

On Wednesday’s edition of “The Faulkner Focus” the host and guest Jason Rantz, a Seattle-based conservative talk radio host, discussed the blowback against Chick-fil-A before showing the video of Cathy’s call for whites to humble themselves at the feet of blacks.

In the video, which was captured during the early days of the George Floyd “summer of love” when corporate America joined itself at the hip to the radical Black Lives Matter movement as cities erupted in racial violence following the drug-addicted career criminal’s unfortunate demise at the hands of Minneapolis police, the devoutly Christian Cathy recalled a story about an elderly black man during a roundtable at an Atlanta church, urging whites to repent for past injustices as he got down on his knees with a shoebrush to polish the loafers of black Christian rapper Lecrae Moore.

“We’ve had a dozen Chick-fil-A restaurants that have been vandalized in the past week,” Cathy said, “but my plea would be for the white people rather than point fingers at that kind of criminal effort would be to see the level of frustration and exasperation and almost the sense of hopelessness that exists among some of those activists within the African American community.”

“It has to hurt us, we as Caucasians, until we are willing to pick up the baton and fight for our black, African American brothers and sisters,” he added, assuming the position at the feet of Moore. “I invite folks to put some words to action, and if we need to find somebody who needs to have their shoes shined, we need to just go right on over and shine their shoes.”

Later on Fox News’s “Outnumbered,” Faulkner again spoke of the calls for boycotts of Chick-fil-A and companies essentially having little choice but to embrace DEI, with some states making it mandatory.

“Chick-fil-A, look, we played it last hour. We dug up that CEO and some pretty amazingly crazy stuff he said. But, you know, and it was offensive to a lot of people over the weekend, and that’s why this story blew up,” she said. “People felt like, well, you brought in race, you brought in all these things. You can get offended by a lot. But, can Chick-fil-A walk the plank, continue to have the value system it has, the delicious waffle fries — which are my spirit animal — and, at the same time, do DEI, which keeps everybody really happy in the corporate end? And, if their states start mandating it, some of these companies are going to have to start doing some things they said they’d never do.”
