For once, Fox News isn’t the only major establishment media outlet fact-checking President Joe Biden — so is Forbes.
On Friday, Forbes published a fact-check blasting President Joe Biden after he incorrectly said he has only four granddaughters.
He made the remark while hosting the NCAA-championship-winning LSU women’s basketball team at the White House earlier that day.
“Look, there’s an awful lot — an awful lot to be proud of. And — and the way in which women’s sports has come along, it’s just incredible. And you’re — and you’re changing the na- — and it’s not just in sports. It’s across the board in every single thing. And it’s really neat to see since I’ve got four granddaughters,” he said during the event.

Fact-check: FALSE.
“The misstatement comes just weeks after an Arkansas judge ordered the president’s son, Hunter Biden, to answer questions about his finances in a child support dispute with Lunden Roberts, the mother of his four-year-old daughter—whom he has never acknowledged publicly, multiple outlets reported,” Forbes reported.
Roberts is a former stripper, and her four-year-old daughter is the president’s fifth granddaughter.
Not surprisingly, Forbes’ fair and balanced fact-check triggered howls of rage from the left, because God forbid anybody ever fact-check dear leader.

President Biden’s remark may have overlooked the accurate count of his granddaughters, but it’s heartening to see his support for women’s basketball and his pride in his granddaughters. Family is a cherished bond, and we appreciate his encouragement for women’s sports.

But many of the critics missed the point.
“It’s a minor memory slip,” one critic tweeted.
Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
It is, according to conservatives, not a simple memory slip but rather instead a purposeful lie intended to cover up his son Hunter’s bad behavior — which in this case includes having sexual relations with a stripper outside the confines of marriage.
“They hung up stockings at Christmas for all the grandchildren except for Navy. There’s no memory slip. It’s a memory hole,” one conservative tweeted, using the name of Roberts’ child.
“He intentionally ignores the 5th grandchild. A CHILD who was born through no fault of her own. Joe and Jill refuse to acknowledge that precious girl,” another conservative wrote.
