‘Hanoi Jane’ blames white men for climate change, wants them arrested and jailed

Academy Award-winning actress Jane Fonda got the royal treatment at the Cannes Film Festival where she spoke about climate change and blamed the coming doomsday on a familiar scapegoat for the planet’s sins, the patriarchy and the racism of white men who she called to be arrested and jailed.

In a wide-ranging conversation at the event, the left-wing political activist spoke about her film career which has spanned seven decades and dished juicy details of the legends who she has worked with including Lee Marvin, Robert Redford, and Katharine Hepburn and inevitably, the topic of climate came up as it often does with holier than thou Hollywood elitists.

The 85-year-old star said that she doesn’t have any more movie or television roles lined up and that she plans to devote her attention to the climate crusade, a fanatical movement that has taken root across the Western world that has many of the characteristics of a religious cult.

“We still have reason to be hopeful if we do everything right. But I’m saying this is serious. We’ve got about seven, eight years to cut ourselves in half of what we use of fossil fuels,” she said, according to Deadline.

“And unfortunately, the people that have the least responsibility for it are hit the hardest — Global South, people on islands, poor people of color. It is a tragedy that we have to absolutely stop. We have to arrest and jail those men — they’re all men,” she added, pointing her finger at who she believes is responsible.

The arrest and imprisonment of people she disagrees with is something that a communist would do, like her Vietcong buddies who she famously posed with during a 1972 visit to Vietnam, earning her the nickname of “Hanoi Jane” which has dogged her for decades.

Fonda notoriously played footsie with the VC while sitting atop an anti-aircraft gun used to fire on U.S. warplanes, spinning pure propaganda gold for the enemy with video footage of her trashing her own country at a time when hippie scum spit on returning troops and undermined the war effort.

Fonda elaborated in response to a question from an audience member.

“It’s good for us all to realize, there would be no climate crisis if there was no racism. There would be no climate crisis if there was no patriarchy,” she said. “A mindset that sees things in a hierarchical way. White men are the things that matter and then everything else [is] at the bottom.”

“So when I say that I’m fighting the climate crisis, I also feel that I’m fighting patriarchy and racism. It’s important because we have to get out of the silos — feminists over here, environmentalists over here,” Fonda continued. “That’s what I learned when I started being an activist around the Vietnam War. The more you go down any issue, whatever it is, you realize that it’s all connected. And if we solve the climate crisis and we haven’t solved those other things, we’re gonna be in trouble.”

Fonda’s Cannes remarks were a return to a common theme of blaming white males for the world’s ills.

“Well, you know, you can take anything -– sexism, racism, misogyny, homophobia, whatever, the war, and if you really get into it, and study it and learn about it and the history of it and — everything’s connected. There’d be no climate crisis if it wasn’t for racism,” she said on NBC’s “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in January.

Hanoi Jane may now be an old woman but she’s still as bat guano crazy as ever and her history gives her a degree of gravitas with generations of leftists that few others can claim.
