Lunatic left-wing professor fired for holding machete to neck of NY Post reporter in harrowing video

A New York City art professor responded to an investigative reporter at her apartment door with a machete to his neck: “Get the f*ck away from my door, or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete!”

Until Tuesday, Shellyne Rodriguez was an adjunct assistant professor in Hunter College’s Art & Art History Department who had a penchant for activism. When a New York Post reporter and photographer attempted to question her over a viral video of a violent display against pro-life students earlier this month, she became the centerpiece of new footage appearing to threaten their lives.

Footage captured by the photographer and a dashboard camera showed the harrowing moments as Post reporter Reuven Fenton knocked on the door of Rodriguez’s Bronx apartment Tuesday, garnering threats of violence.

“Get the f*ck away from my door, or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete!” she allegedly yelled from inside.

After informing her who he was, Rodriguez stepped out into the hall with the weapon in hand and reportedly held it up to Fenton’s neck as she repeated, “Get the f*ck away from my door. Get the f*ck away from my door,” before retreating inside.

The Post employees could then be heard saying, “Let’s get out of here. You can’t do that,” but the leftist wasn’t through intimidating them.

Moments later, a dashcam showed Fenton and the photographer calmly exiting the building with Rodriguez storming up behind them, still wielding the machete.

Pointing it at the reporter, she was alleged to have said, “If I see you on this block one more f*cking time, you’re gonna,” but turned her ire toward the photographer whom she chased out into the street after he appeared to snap a picture of her.

“Get the f*ck off the block! Get the f*ck out of here, you!” she was reported saying before doubling back, allegedly kicking Fenton in the shins.

After the initial report of Rodriguez’s behavior, Hunter spokesman Vince DiMicele told the outlet, “We will take swift and appropriate action.”

The Post employees had visited the apartment regarding a video from within the halls of the college on May 2 where she was witnessed harassing members of Students for Life of America who had set up a table to promote a pro-life message.

“You’re not educating sh*t. This is f*cking propaganda,” Rodriguez could be heard ranting at the time. “What are you going to do, like, anti-trans next?”

“This is bullsh*t. This is violent. You’re triggering my students,” she continued, earning an apology from one of the pro-life representatives.

“No, you’re not. Because you can’t even have a f*cking baby,” she said to the young man before taking her frustration out on the materials on the table, and scattering them, “Get this sh*t out of here. F*ck this shit.”

According to a pro-abortion group’s Instagram, “Rodriguez approached the display, constructively critiqued the group members, and eventually physically took down items from the table. Her actions to shut down the tabling were fully justified…”

Rodriguez was said to have been questioned by the dean, provost and other officials on May 12 but no administrative action was reported.

Following her display against the Post employees, which she could face charges over, DiMicele later declared, “Hunter College strongly condemns the unacceptable actions of Shellyne Rodriguez and has taken immediate action.”

“Rodriguez has been relieved of her duties at Hunter College effective immediately and will not be returning to teach at the school,” he added.

The Post went on to indicate that the former professor has an active lawsuit against the NYPD alleging officers abused her when she was arrested for a June 2020 protest related to the death of George Floyd.
