NYC Mayor wants to send illegals to every city ‘throughout the entire country’

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said during an interview on “Face the Nation” Sunday that illegal immigrants surging across the border should be sent to every city “throughout the entire country,” while calling for an investigation into the false story of homeless veterans being booted in order to house migrants.

Adams’ calling for sharing the pain of illegal immigration throughout the nation is ostensibly what Democrats planned all along as they seek to change the demographic across the country.

“We have 108,000 cities, villages, towns. If everyone takes a small portion of that, and if it’s coordinated at the border, to ensure that those who are coming here to this country in a lawful manner is actually moved throughout the entire country, it is not a burden on one city,” Adams asserted.

And the numbers need to be clear. We received over 70,000 migrant asylum seekers in our city, 42,000 are still in our care. If this is properly handled at the border level, this issue can be resolved while we finally get Congress, particularly the Republican Party, to deal with a comprehensive immigration policy,” he said, blaming the GOP for the catastrophe that President Biden has created.

Adams and the Biden administration have been locking horns over the issue of illegal immigrants being bused to New York City for quite some time. The mayor even withdrew from the president’s reelection advisory board over the issue, according to Fox News. However, it’s the Republicans that he still primarily blames for the mess.

CBS host Margaret Brennan asked if Adams thought the proposed $30 million in federal funding to address the influx of illegal immigrants into the city was enough. He answered by saying that New York City has already spent in excess of $1 billion on housing illegal immigrants and it is projected that the city will need over $4 billion more in funding to handle the crisis.

He also clapped back at Republicans over illegal immigrants being bused to New York City and other Democrat strongholds because they declared themselves sanctuary cities.

“The problem is that Republicans for far too many years have failed to deal with real immigration reform,” Adams accused.

“This is a national issue. No city should … be going through this, including El Paso, Brownsville [in Texas]. When I went to El Paso, Texas, and saw what was happening there, I raised the same concern. This should not be the burning of Chicago, Washington, Houston, Denver, and New York City. That is what we want to focus on,” he continued.

“How do we have real comprehensive immigration reform? And how do we have a real decompression strategy? And we really need to allow the migrants, asylum seekers, to be able to have work status so that they can actually work in various areas that we’re looking for employment,” Adams added validating the claim by conservatives that the left is looking for cheap labor via illegal immigration.

Adams is getting hammered in court over his administration planning to bus hundreds of single male adult migrants upstate and possibly to Long Island to be housed in hotels for months. Most of those areas are led by Republicans who assert they lack the resources to deal with asylum seekers processed in New York City.

Meanwhile, Adams is addressing the issue of the false story that homeless veterans are being forced out in order to house illegal immigrants. He is calling for an investigation into the matter.

On Sunday, the mayor sat down with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart to discuss the flood of illegal immigrants into the Big Apple. Capehart asked Adams about the false report.

“It is really troubling, and I’m asking our local and state authorities to investigate what happened here. It was clearly fabricated and it was a conscious decision to fabricate it, from what we are getting. A thorough investigation will determine if any criminality is involved, but there was never a moment where veterans were displaced. We would never do that,” Adams claimed.

“And those who put together this scheme and put together this plan to really put a negative light on what we coordinated to do to send migrants throughout the entire state — a real decompression strategy… We’ve never displaced veterans. Someone fabricated that story, and it was blasted across our local tabloids and papers, and it’s really unfortunate that someone would do something like this,” he said.

The story came from the New York Post and was based on a claim from veterans advocate and YIT Foundation Executive Director Sharon Finch. It was discovered to be untrue when a local Republican New York lawmaker and local journalists debunked the story. The New York Post did a follow-up story and added an editor’s note to the original report.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham was one of those who put out the story and the network issued a statement acknowledging the follow-up by the New York Post on the report. Ingraham issued an on-air correction Friday.
