A sobbing veteran has gone viral for pouring out his heart about the poor treatment he’s received from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
News of the veteran emerged Sunday courtesy of John “TIG” Tiegen, a survivor of the Benghazi terror attack.
It’s not clear where he obtained it from, but Tiegen posted a video of the unnamed veteran sobbing to a camera.

In the video, the veteran claimed that the VA has kept switching his doctors, thus forcing him to relive his past trauma over and over again.
“Over the last six years, dude, the VA has continued to let me down. F–k. I just want some f–king continuity and care with mental health providers. These doctors keep quitting, they keep switching, and then the one doctor that I really liked who talked me off a f–king ledge the last time refused … I had to split because they fell out of network, and then they came back into the network,” he said.
“So I went the last two years dealing with my own demons myself and trying to hold it f–king together. And then come to find out, it’s like May, it’s like late May, and he denied, he denied taking my case back. April f–kin 12th. And I’m just finding out, dude. And now I gotta go back to some new f–king doctor and then I gotta open f–king Pandora’s box again because they’re gonna want to know everything, and then I’m gonna have to live through work and do that for a f–king month,” he added.
The veteran concluded by expressing how frustrated he feels.
“I’m f–king so tired of it. I just want, I just want some f–king continuity of care, dude. I just want to be able to talk to the same f–king person and have the same individual manage my goddamn meds. I’ve been off my, off all my medications for f–king two years. I’ve been doing it on my own, man. I’m just fucking white knuckling, I’m gripping,” he said.
“Jesus, f–k. I’m just so tired of it. It’s not a lot to ask. I just want to be able to talk to the same person and not continue to have to retell these f–king stories that torment me,” he added.
The video of the veteran has spawned an outpouring of supportive tweets, including from Fox News host Lawrence Jones, who tweeted that he’d like to toss out the veteran’s medication and replace them with a dog:

“A dog’s ability to read emotions, provide stress relief, and act as a companion can be critical for a patient diagnosed with PTSD, particularly as they work to combat the intrusive symptoms and impairments associated with PTSD and regain control of their life,” according to Penn Medicine News.
Smithsonian magazine further notes that researchers have been “accumulating evidence that bonding with dogs has biological effects, such as elevated levels of the hormone oxytocin.”
“Oxytocin improves trust, the ability to interpret facial expressions, the overcoming of paranoia and other pro-social effects—the opposite of PTSD symptoms,” Meg Daley Olmert of Warrior Canine Connection told the magazine.

This is heartbreaking. I have seen family member deal with mental illness. Unfortunately, self medication was their solution and it proved fatal. Pray everyday, our country finds peace of mind and compassion.

I’m in the VA system too. It sux! Experiencing pancreatitis currently. My PCP advised to call her for a video conference. Her schedule deems the appointment to be 3 months out. I could be dead by then! They just don’t give a damn.

We fought our VA. My dad had Frontal Temporal Dementia. He threatened my mom’s life (of course, not his normal behavior, pre-dementia). VA had open bed in dementia unit, but tried to make my mom take him back home bc no nursing home would take him, bc of his behavior. Nam vet.
