Reports of a massive shake-up to the Fox News primetime lineup rocked Twitter, even as the network itself pushes back on the claims.
The Drudge Report published the explosive allegation Wednesday afternoon, with a screaming headline to match.
“FOXNEWS is preparing to announce an ambitious new schedule, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, a schedule where every hour of primetime will change!” the site claims. “TOP SOURCE TELLS DRUDGE: ‘IT’S OUR BOLDEST AND MOST FEARLESS LINE-UP EVER’…”
“No decision has been made on a new primetime line-up and there are multiple scenarios under consideration,” said a Fox News spokesperson in response to the fiery report.
However, this hasn’t stopped Twitter users from reacting to the news that Laura Ingraham, under the alleged new plan, would effectively be cut.
Fox News issued a second statement late Wednesday to show support for Ingraham, saying, “reports by left wing activists are wildly inaccurate -Laura Ingraham, the top-rated woman in cable news, is now and will continue to be a prominent host and integral part of the FOX News lineup.”
BREAKING: According to Drudge, Fox News will move Sean Hannity to 8pm ET to replace Tucker, followed by Jesse Watters at 9pm, and Greg Gutfeld at 10pm. There is no indication on the network’s plans for Laura Ingraham and Trace Gallagher.
