Trump reportedly blasted NBC reporter before booting him off plane at Waco rally

Former President Trump reportedly lost it with an NBC reporter, allegedly grabbing his phone and demanding that he be removed from his plane following a Waco, Texas rally after he tried to grill Trump over the criminal probe by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Audio has surfaced that was first reported on by Vanity Fair. It is from March 25 and purportedly occurred as Trump was speaking with an informal gaggle of reporters aboard his plane. The audio has evidently not been released to the public and suspiciously took over a month to make headlines.

NBC News reporter Vaughn Hillyard put forth that Trump appeared “frustrated” by Bragg’s investigation. The former president allegedly told Hillyard not to ask “any more questions.” That did not deter the reporter who evidently smelled blood in the water. He has been a correspondent with NBC News for nearly two years and has been with the network in a wide range of roles for almost a decade.

“I’m not frustrated by anything,” Trump told Hillyard, according to the recording which was obtained by The Washington Post as well. “What am I, frustrated? I just did a speech for two hours. I’m not frustrated by it. It’s a fake investigation. We did nothing wrong. I told you that. … It’s the exact opposite. This is fake news, and NBC is one of the worst at it. Don’t ask me any more questions.”

“My question to you: Would [potential] violence be justifiable? Was Jan. 6 justifiable?” Hillyard later asked.

“I’m not for violence at all. But a lot of people are upset,” Trump told him. “I’m not in favor of violence.”

“I heard you’re a nice guy from NBC, but you’re not,” the former president told the reporter.

Hillyard waited about a half-hour before having the nerve to query Trump about Bragg’s investigation again.

“I don’t want to talk to you. You’re not a nice guy,” Trump reiterated.

Hillyard would not give up… he was like a media dog with a bone. He pressed forward with his question and Trump allegedly snapped, grabbing his two phones from the table in front of him and throwing them to the side, according to an unnamed source who spoke with Vanity Fair.

Per the audio, an angry Trump told his aides to “Get him out of here.”

“Let’s go, get him out of here. Out of here. Out of here,” the former president ordered.

Hillyard was immediately escorted away according to the Washington Post. Media outlets say it is unclear if he was taken off the plane but if it happened, it’s a very good bet he was.

Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung told the Washington Post that “no negative incidents” involving reporters ever occurred on his plane. Given prior misleading, inaccurate, and malicious reporting by leftist outlets about Trump, the events claimed by the media over the reporter are subject to suspicion.

The incident occurred several days before Trump was indicted. He would later be arraigned in New York City for allegedly falsifying business records related to hush-money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

The Washington Post reported that the journalists traveling on the plane with Trump included Vaughn Hillyard of NBC, Brian Glenn of Right Side Broadcasting Network, Sophia Cai of Axios, Rob Crilly of the Daily Mail, and Evan Vucci, a photographer with the Associated Press, according to photographs taken on board the plane and audio recordings.

Ahead of the Waco rally, Trump posted that he expected to be arrested in connection to the investigation. He urged his supporters on social media to protest his potential arrest, prompting the left to melt down.

Trump has branded the whole investigation as “Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history.”
