‘Hall monitor failures’: Gutfeld smacks Media Matters in defense of Tucker Carlson

Although the majority of Fox News hosts are evidently being silenced when it comes to Tucker Carlson’s departure, “The Five” co-host Greg Gutfeld couldn’t resist taking a well-deserved dig at Media Matters which leaked a number of videos in an attempt to smear the former host.

It is still unknown how Media Matters came into possession of the videos, but many feel it has all the markings of an orchestrated hit against Carlson.

Gutfeld has not joined others who have unceremoniously thrown Carlson under the bus after Fox News gave him the boot. He came to Carlson’s defense against Media Matters and left a mark in doing so.

In a dropped mic tweet on Tuesday, the newly crowned “King of Late Night” took a swing at the leftist media outlet and connected… hard.

“[A]pparently everyone understands nonsense banter between segments except for hall monitor failures bitterly chronicling the lives of the far more successful,” Gutfeld responded to Media Matters.

“NEW FOXLEAKS: Media Matters obtained three more behind-the-scenes videos featuring former Fox host Tucker Carlson’s creepy on-set comments,” Matt Gertz, who is a senior fellow at Media Matters, tweeted.

“1. Prepping for an interview with Piers Morgan, Carlson tells the host, ‘If we’re going to talk about sex, I’d love to hit some of the fine points of technique.’ Morgan replies, ‘We can certainly talk about your sexual technique, especially after your tanning testicles last week,'” the outlet added.

In the leaked videos, Carlson shows he has a sense of humor, bantering and making off-color jokes. The pearl-clutching left was hypocritically horrified at his language. The same kind of language they utilize against the right constantly, by the way.

Carlson commented in one of the clips that the leftist propaganda mouthpiece could go… well, you know.

He also said that he relied on post-menopausal female viewers to “assess” his appearance. Evidently, Media Matters thought it was one of the deadlier sins.

“2. After describing an unnamed woman to someone off camera as ‘yummy,’ Carlson says, ‘just kidding, in case this is being pulled off the bird… Hey, Media Matters for America, go f*** yourself! ‘”the outlet leaked, totally out of context.

“3. On-set, Carlson tells someone off-camera, ‘I can never assess my appearance. I wait for my postmenopausal fans to weigh in on that,'” Gertz tweeted.

Gertz went on in a lame attempt to smear Carlson even further, writing, “The rationale for Carlson forced departure remains unclear, but some have speculated that it is related to Carlson’s history of misogynistic comments or the discrimination lawsuit filed by a former Carlson producer who alleges that she was subjected to a misogynistic workplace.”

And Media Matters just dropped their latest Wednesday morning. In it, they show Tucker Carlson’s extremely understandable response to Dominion’s lawyers questioning him. Yet another leak that will fall flat with a decisive thud.

“We’ve got a new FoxLeak. In this behind-the-scenes video, Tucker Carlson talks about how he was ‘triggered’ by Dominion’s lawyer, who he calls a ‘slimy motherf***er,’ during his deposition,” Media Matters dished, not cluing into the fact that many Americans view those attorneys in the same light.

Right after Carlson was let go, Gutfeld appeared on “The Five” and just couldn’t help himself while everyone else ignored the elephant in the room. He kidded that Carlson should run for president in 2024.

Jeanine Pirro immediately went to a commercial break after Gutfeld’s remark.
